After more than a decade of countless spells, broomstick rides and watching the young stars grow-up onscreen, the cast and crew of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" filmed the final scene of their billion-dollar franchise last week. Star Daniel Radcliffe told MTV News that there was not a dry eye in the house when the words "It's a wrap," rang out through Leavesden Studios for the last time.

"I didn't expect myself to get particularly emotional but I really did," Radcliffe said. "As I'm sure you'll probably see on the DVD extras because we were filmed, weeping like children."

Regarding his final moments as the bespectacled titular character, Radcliffe said it was simply "peculiar," and that he had trouble finding the right words to express what he was feeling. Read More...

There are "Twilight" fans. And there are "Jersey Shore" fans. Is there much crossover between the two though? I don't know. But they've been mashed together now, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel. And so, Twilighters, I give you... "Friggin' Twilight." Good morning.

What would "Eclipse" look like if it featured Edward and Jacob fighting over Snooki instead of Bella? Well, you can see for yourself in a pictures that the "Jersey Shore" star posted yesterday. In the meantime, Actual "Eclipse" actor Alex Meraz talking about his favorite scene that didn't make the final version of the film (or any version, I'm going to assume).

Form your own opinion after the jump where you'll see reactions to the USA's World Cup win over Algeria, Kat Dennings and Diablo Cody's exploits making "Scott Pilgrim" avatars and a pic of Tom Hanks from "Larry Crowne."

It's all on the record in Twitter-Wood for June 23, 2010. Read More...

"She's Out of My League" arrived on DVD/Blu-ray yesterday. Jay Baruchel stars as an everyday schmo who meets the perfect girl, only to start screwing things up when his family, friends and his own lack of confidence get in the way. Lindsay Sloane, seen in the outtake reel below, doesn't play that woman; instead, she plays the ex-girlfriend of Baruchel's Kirk. And as you can see in the clip, which comes on the home video release, she had some trouble finding the right words to say.

On the surface, "Abduction" doesn't sound like a high-octane action flick. Sure, John Singleton is directing, but the story follows Taylor Lautner after he finds his baby photo on a missing persons website. It's not a premise that immediately points to multi-terrain, multi-discipline action, and yet that's exactly what Lautner is preparing for as he trains up for the July shoot in Pittsburgh.

"I've been training," he said with a grin. "I did boxing training for a couple months, now I'm into the fight training, motorcycle... I think when I get to Pittsburgh I'll do a little swimming training. It's all around, it's going to be a lot of fun." Read More...

With eight films now in the can, international acclaim, and more products than we can mention, the Harry Potterverse extends beyond even the most creative imaginations. The list already includes (just to name a few) Potter-themed bobbleheads, Bertie Bott’s Everyflavor Beans by Jelly Belly, an adult film parody, and an entire theme park in Orlando. When MTV's Josh Horowitz sat down with Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, we asked his thoughts on where else Harry and Co. could possibly extend their magical wands.

“A pub in north London called Potter's Bar,” he joked. “That said there IS a place called Potter's bar.” (And there is! We looked it up, just to be sure. It’s a town in the Hertsmere borough of Hertfordshire, England and, thanks to a quick sweep of Wikipedia, we now know it was used as the setting for horror-comedy “Bloodbath at the House of Death” and for a 2005 episode of “Little Britain.”)

We suggested Potter might make for a great reality or ice show. Read More...

Folks, this is synergy at its finest. You've got an insanely popular book adaptation hitting theaters next week and another, equally fan frenzy-creating adaptation coming in November. It's an easy pairing. And now it's official: the next trailer for the first part of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," which hits theaters on November 19, will run in front of "Eclipse" when it opens on June 30, also known as next Wednesday. Fanpeople who are sad at missing the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter last week -- my hand is way up high in the air on that front -- can take solace in knowing that sweet "Deathly Hallows" goodness isn't too far off.

What do you hope to see in the new trailer?

HansonIt's been three weekends since we got a full, sex-drugs-and-rock & roll-fueled introduction to Aldous Snow, the endearingly boorish frontman of Infant Sorrow played by Russell Brand, first glimpsed in 2008's "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and given his own movie in this month's "Get Him to the Greek." The pop culture impact of Snow's music is still being felt today.

Hanson, those loveable "MMMBop"-ers, headed into the studio recently to record a cover of Infant Sorrow's "Furry Walls," the third track off the film's soundtrack. It's a catchy tune, combining Hanson's toe-tapping pop-rock sound with Snow's drippingly absurd lyrics. "When we think of the most iconic rock bands in history, it starts with Led Zeppelin, The Who, AC/DC and ends with Infant Sorrow," the band said in a post on their website.

This morning, Taylor Hanson — still very much keeping to the "Snow is a real person" narrative — called up MTV News to talk about the origins of the cover... Read More...

It was reported last week that offers had gone out to Don Cheadle and Freida Pinto for roles in the upcoming "Planet of the Apes" prequel, "Rise of the Apes." The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog reveals today that not only is Pinto confirmed, but she'll be joined by awesome actor-dude John Lithgow, who recently impressed the hell out of pretty much everyone during his stint as a villain on the fourth season of "Dexter." No word on Cheadle, but Pinto will play the female lead -- a primatologist -- and Lithgow will play the Alzheimer's-afflicted father of the male lead, played by James Franco.

Daniel RadcliffeIn 2001, moviegoers across the world were introduced to Daniel Radcliffe, the bespectacled British child actor who would bring The Boy Who Lived to life on the big screen in the "Harry Potter" film franchise. Now, almost ten years later, Radcliffe is several leaps and bounds away from his first year at Hogwarts. In fact, his magic-wielding days are almost behind him all together as filming has wrapped on "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the final installment in the epic fantasy series.

But even as the days of Defense Against the Dark Arts classes, trips to Hogsmeade and Quidditch matches come to a close for Radcliffe, the young actor has his eye towards the future with a very big announcement — he's set to star in "All Quiet on the Western Front," a brand new adaptation of the classic World War I drama about youthful German soldier Paul Baumer's struggle to survive in the trenches of France amidst endless blood-soaked battles. Radcliffe will film "All Quiet" in the Spring of 2012 after completing his work on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." Read More...
