Back in March, there was a rumor that Tim Burton intended to follow up "Alice in Wonderland" with a 3-D stop-motion take on "The Addams Family." MTV spoke with Burton's people and in short order it was revealed that he hadn't yet lined up his next project.

ComingSoon learned over the weekend that there's some momentum building now around the project. Producer Christopher Meledandri revealed, "It's all very, very early, but we are developing with [Tim Burton directing] in mind. ...We're just now at the story phase. Stuff has been written as though we are doing it in black and white, but that's not correct. It's not incorrect, but it's not correct. We haven't gotten to that point."

Tom Hardy is an actor to watch these days. His 2009 role in "Bronson" not only proved that he could carry a movie, but that he could do it while engaging with challenging material. He's also in Chris Nolan's "Inception" (in theaters July 16), which by all accounts is one of this summer's best. But the big marker in Hardy's upcoming work to look towards is the coming "Mad Max" reboot, "Fury Road," which MTV's Josh Horowitz gleaned a bit more about when he spoke with the actor at the "Inception" junket over the weekend.

"I'm up for it," he said. "The process hasn't started yet, properly. I have to get out to Australia and sit down with [series creator and 'Fury Road' director George Miller], and I'll take it from there once it's the right time. I'm as ready as I think I can be." Hardy refused to spill anything specific, fearing deadly repercussions from the Warner Bros. press team. He dropped a few nuggets though. Read More...

I'm a big fan of "Star Wars." And one of my favorite things from that universe is the AT-AT. They're giant-sized mechanical war machines, basically walking tanks, that bear a strong resemblance to a range of four-legged beasties, from camels to dogs. They can also be quite lovable, as our recent flipbook gallery joining Habsro's soon-to-release supersize AT-AT toy with an actual pooch illustrated.

The dog comparison is an old one for AT-ATs, but now one fan has taken things a step further. In the awesome video after the jump you can see an AT-AT toy stop-motion animated to resemble a lovable plastic recasting of Man's Best Friend. Click onwards to check out AT-AT Day Afternoon! Read More...

On July 3, 1985, history was made. Or, more accurately, re-made. The potent combination of a mad scientist, a lovable loser and angry Libyan terrorists delivered one of the most memorable films of the '80s: "Back to the Future." This Saturday's July 3 happens to be the 25th anniversary of the film's release. To celebrate, NBC Universal has finally announced the hi def treatment that fans have been waiting for: the "Back to the Future" trilogy will arrive on Blu-ray and in an all-new special edition DVD on October 26, 2010.

There are a bunch of awesome new extras to look forward to. Exclusive to the Blu-ray is a half-hour vintage behind-the-scenes special hosted by Leslie Nielson which aired before the first TV screening of the initial movie. There's also the obligatory "newly filmed" retrospective documentary, vintage extras from previous releases, deleted scenes, feature commentaries, a hoverboard test and -- let's face it, the undisputed highlight -- a music video for Huey Lewis and the News' "Power of Love." No word on pricing, but I've pasted the full breakdown of bonus features after the jump. Click the thumbnail above for a more complete look at the box art. Read More...

Last Friday marked the one year mark since the passing of pop sensation Michael Jackson. While he certainly had his ups-and-downs in life, Jackson remains one of the most influential artists of the modern music age and the anniversary of his death was the emphasis of numerous weekend celebrations.

Jackie Chan is a known Jackson fan. In May he paid $250,000 for the fallen pop star's famous glove, a congratulatory gift for Chan's son Jaycee, who had just released an album. Now that glove has been auctioned off again, part of a lot of Jackson memorabilia that brought in around $1 million for charity. In today's Daily TwitPic, Chan poses with the coveted item one last time before shipping it off to be sold to the highest bidder. Read More...

I saw "Pretty Bird" a couple of years ago at Sundance Film Festival. Funny movie. Billy Crudup stars as a flim-flam man with some big ideas. Really, one big idea: he wants to build a rocket belt. So he hires Paul Giamatti, who plays a brilliant engineer, to help him on the technical side. Hilarity and a little bit of calamity ensues. Even better, it's all based on a true story!

In the clip below, Giamatti is pretty pissed off. He's discovered some truths about his business partner, and he's done negotiating. It's time for action. Unfortunately for his poor wife, he doesn't really know how to handle a gun. Remember that calamity I mentioned? Here's some of it ensuing.
