Much of Twitter-Wood was focused on the "Glee" season finale last night, but one actor in particular was already looking ahead to Season 2. John Stamos says he couldn't be happier to be joining the show's cast in 2011, and his former "Full House" co-star Candace Cameron Bure tweeted him that she wouldn't mind stopping by to visit.

TV attention tonight is likely to switch away from singers and back onto the jocks, however, since the Chicago Blackhawks could potentially secure a Stanley Cup victory. Diablo Cody will be watching if her choice of maternity clothing is any indication. Check out who she's supporting below along with Duncan Jones' World Cup loyalties and the official length of "Toy Story 3."

I'm @brianwarmoth, and it's all on the record in Twitter-Wood for June 9, 2010. Read more...

24Bruce Willis has made it known that he wants to return as John McClane for a fifth "Die Hard" film. Kiefer Sutherland and the producers of "24" have publicly acknowledged that they're looking to bring Jack Bauer to the big screen now that the television series is over — indeed, a screenplay is currently in development courtesy of Billy Ray.

McClane and Bauer, both heading to theaters to kick some terrorist butt at some point, presumably. But are they headed there together?

The folks at Ain't It Cool News received a tip from an anonymous source, an allegedly "established creative talent within the entertainment industry," that 20th Century Fox once mulled over the idea of teaming the "Die Hard" and "24" heroes together in a movie called — wait for it — "Die Hard 24/7." The source reports that "the project didn't pan out because Kiefer was more interested in launching his own '24' movie franchise ... than doing buddy shtick in Bruce's already established series."

Alright... time for a rant. Read more...

THE MUPPETS ARE COMING!!! Variety reports today that "The Greatest Muppet Movie Ever Made," co-written by the powerhouse Nick Stoller/Jason Segel duo and directed by James Bobin, now has a release date: Christmas Day, 2011. Interestingly, the report states that there's no official title for the film even though "Greatest Muppet Movie" has been floating around for some months now.

Does it matter? Like I said, THE MUPPETS ARE COMING!!! AND NOW WE KNOW WHEN!!! To celebrate this fantastic news I've unearthed an amazing video clip from MTV's archives: Kermit the Frog talking about music and professing his love for hip-hop. And Cypress Hill. And... The X-Cutioners? Really?! So freaking cool, those Muppets.

"Twilight" put in an expectedly great performance at Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards. It's a fan-driven voting process and... well... a lot of y'all are bona fide Twilighters. So the stars all came out, a new "Eclipse" clip was revealed and "New Moon" swept every category it was nominated in.

It's rare that you get all of those "Twilight" actors in one place, so you've got to take advantage of the situation when you do. MTV's massive LA Movie Awards team was on the case, talking to everyone about "Eclipse" and what they're most looking forward to seeing. Want to know? Find out after the jump! Read more...

An odd thing happened in Hollywood recently. "The Final Destination," the fourth and most critically reviled entry in that horror series (according to RottenTomatoes), earned more than $182 million in worldwide box office sales against a budget of roughly $40 million. It was a completely unexpected turnaround for the flagging franchise, one that even left New Line execs feeling baffled. Of course, understanding isn't necessary to greenlight a sequel, and a fifth "Final Destination" movie is now moving forward.

The fifth iteration's script was written by Eric Heisserer, who is also writing the upcoming remake of John Carpenter's "The Thing" and who penned another recently released film, the "Nightmare on Elm Street" remake. It was recently reported that a trio of newcomer filmmakers were in the running, but now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, one has emerged at the top: Steven Quale, who worked as the second unit director on "Avatar." Two adaptations of Alexandre Dumas' 17th-century adventure tale "The Three Musketeers" are racing toward the big screen, but only one will be presented in 3-D. And as MTV News has learned, that version — directed by Paul W.S. Anderson and starring Milla Jovovich, Logan Lerman, Orlando Bloom and Christoph Waltz — will not only be shot in three dimensions but will utilize the camera technology pioneered by James Cameron for "Avatar."

"Shooting in 3-D. We're not converting," star Lerman told us last week during the run up to the MTV Movie Awards. "We're really going to be popping out at you.... We're using the Jim Cameron technology and all that. It's going to be nuts. It's going to look really cool. And trust me, from everything I've seen, it's going to blow people away." Read more...

"Transformers 3" and director Michael Bay are in the news today because plans to shoot part of the movie in Washington, D.C. -- including "simulated explosions and pyrotechnics at locations along Pennsylvania and Independence avenues" (via The Washington Post) -- are being met with some resistance by National Park Service authorities. Apparently there's some hesitation about staging massive explosions so close to the country's seats of power. Go figure.

I imagine that Bay will get his way eventually -- likely a compromise -- especially with the added weight of producer Steven Spielberg backing him up. That said, we're a creative team here at MTV and we've got a few alternate locations to suggest using in lieu of the National Mall. Read more...

Lily Collins was among the many celebrities who attended the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on Sunday night. Speaking to MTV's Josh Horowitz on the red carpet, she revealed that she's got a tough job coming up. Collins will be starring with "Twilight" star Taylor Lautner in "Abduction." And what does that mean?

"Three months of hanging out with Taylor... I don't know what I'm going to do," she said. It all depends on whether or not he'll be shirtless. Will he? Collins comments below...

As advertised, "Get Him To The Greek" proved to be a two-hour-long ride of inebriated chaos and drug-induced hilarity (if Diddy ever offers to introduce you to "Jeffrey," turn him down). Despite its frat-boy appearance, the "sort-of-spin-off of "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" ended up raising some interesting and unexpected moral dilemmas.

Jonah Hill's character, a more serious incarnation of his Infant Sorrow-obsessed waiter in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," is a record label intern who gets his first big break bringing Russell Brand's Aldous Snow to perform his 10th anniversary concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles. The job ends up not being what he signed up for, and his realization that his dream job isn't what he expected it to be leads to some surprising conclusions about the music industry and life.

Needless to say, spoilers ahead... Read more...

Tuning in for the MTV Movie Awards only brings you part of the experience. With so many celebrities in the house, there's also a fairly crazy backstage scene, which breeds many entertaining moments to revisit in the days after. Moments such as this one.

MTV's Josh Horowitz stopped to chat with "Dinner for Schmucks" stars Paul Rudd and Steve Carell. He managed to earn "The Office" star's ire when he made a face about the possibility of a Rudd/Carell dance number at the end of the show. Ever the peacekeeper, Rudd stepped in to smooth things over. And awkward dancing ensued. Enjoy.
