We've got some waiting to do before "Zoolander 2" becomes a reality, but that doesn't mean MTV isn't asking anyone and everyone associated with it questions about what to expect. Such was the case when MTV's Josh Horowitz spoke to Jonah Hill a few weeks ago during the "Get Him to the Greek" press tour.

"Honestly, I haven't read a script," he said when the sequel came up. "Justin Theroux and Ben Stiller approached me and asked me about my interest in being in 'Zoolander 2.' I of course thought that was the most complimentary, amazing thing, because I love 'Zoolander.'" Read more...

Alfred Hitchcock is one of the greatest filmmakers in history. This is an indisputable fact. The man taught the world how to effectively stage suspense on film. Most, if not all, of his movies still hold up. Today, "Psycho" -- arguably the most famous of them all -- turns 50. On June 16, 1960, "Psycho" premiered in New York City. On that night, the world saw the birth of the slasher genre and one of the earliest examples of graphic violence in film.

I just wanted to take a moment out of the day to honor Hitchcock's accomplishment. There are many works of "classic cinema" which, while important, seem unimpressive by today's standards. Hitchcock stands apart; his work endures and his influence is still felt whenever a movie pushes you to the edge of your seat with tension. "Psycho" is a testament to that. UPDATE: Twitter-Wood somehow stayed unpublished yesterday, even though I did indeed flip the switch. So here it is, slightly late. Enjoy!

North Korea may have come up short one goal against Brazil today, but that one goal they scored caught a lot of attention today in Twitter-Wood. The same can be said for the vuvuzelad being played by South African soccer fans at the tournament. Simon Pegg stepped up in defense of their horns, though.

Elsewhere, Felicia Day's E3 fascination continued today, and Nintendo's 3DS received her approval. John Cleese, who voice acts in the Lionhead Studios game "Fable 3," which appeared yesterday at the show, did not accompany his game on stage there. He did, however, tweet a self portrait today that I deemed worthy of Twitter Pic of the Day.

Whether you agree or not with that decision, it's part of Twitter-Wood for June 15, 2010. Read more...

Gargamel wants to capture Smurfs so he can eat them. That's just the way of things for the diminutive blue people. In exchange for living a relatively peaceful life in their carved-out mushrooms, Papa Smurf and his charges must remain constantly vigilant, lest the evil sorcerer finds their secret village and cooks up a dinner to remember.

In the upcoming "Smurfs" movie, directed by Raja Gosnell, it turns out that this is no longer the case. USA Today has a first look at the movie today, which includes an image (seen below), news of a Thursday trailer debut on Yahoo! Movies and new information about the story.

So there you go. CG Smurfs. They look fine. I'm not falling out of my chair for them, but I remain excited -- yes, really! -- for the movie. Gosnell gets a lot of flak for the work he did on the two "Scooby Doo" movies, but I found them to be surprisingly faithful to the spirit of the original series... save for some fundamental disconnects. Now I worry that the same might be in store for "The Smurfs." Read more...

Rob Reiner hasn't directed a movie since 2007's "The Bucket List," but he'll be back this summer with an adaptation of Wendelin Van Draanen's novel "Flipped." The comedy follows a pair of high school pals through the late '50s and early '60s, a change from the book, which has a more contemporary setting. Reiner actually wrote the screenplay for this one, something he hasn't done since the classic 1984 mockumentary "This Is Spinal Tap." Intrigued? Then check out the trailer below; the movie has an early August limited release and is set to go wide on August 27.

Here's an oddity from the MTV VHS archives that I don't really know how to address. It was clearly recorded ages ago, which is odd for a number of reasons. MTV Movies managing editor Josh Horowitz started here in 2006, well after the era of the videocassette tape. What's more... didn't "Cyrus" premiere at Sundance this year? I don't know what's going on, but hit play for a peek back into the annals of MTV history... for a very sweet, touching and mildly disturbing sitdown between Josh Horowitz and acting legend John C. Reilly.

Oh, vuvuzela, how entertaining you are to say, how infernal you are to hear for 90 straight minutes of World Cup play! Yes, South Africa's favorite horns — bleating continuously during each match like a monstrous storm of prehistoric bumble bees — has divided the globe. Stadium-goers love 'em, while players, broadcasters and countless viewers at home just want them to go away.

Alas, for the moment, it appears the vuvuzela is here to stay. That horn has even got its own Twitter feed, from which it broadcasts missives like, "Bzzzzzz? Bzzzzzz." Heh. We think its time to move on. But to what? The MTV Movies team has done some thinking and come up with five of cinema's finest instruments that would be welcome — and awesome! — replacements for the vuvuzela. Read more...

"Bel Ami" is a popular upcoming release in the "Twilight" fan community, largely because it features intimate scenes between stars Uma Thurman and Robert Pattinson. The story follows Pattinson's Georges Duroy as he ascends the society ladder in France, using his sex appeal to get him there.

We already know there are some downright dirty scenes, but MTV's Josh Horowitz asked Pattinson at the weekend junket for "Eclipse" exactly what the score is: who gets more bare skin screen time, Uma or Robert?

Joel Silver's got the right idea. What, you don't believe me? Just listen to the man in the below video, an excerpt from our chat with him during the press tour for "Splice." He understands the pitfalls of this still-developing 3-D technology. He sees a future in it for cinema, but not necessarily any need for revising history.

"I think the conversion to 3-D is not as effective as the movies that are created and invented and devised in 3-D," he said. "We have a few projects that could go that route and I think that's interesting." Projects like "Logan's Run" and "Lobo," both of which he mentioned in the same interview. Read more...

Megan Fox gets to kick some ass and twirl some guns in this weekend's Western-inspired comic book adaptation, "Jonah Hex." What I'll bet you didn't know is that Fox is no stranger to firearms. She doesn't use them extensively in her day-to-day life as an adult, but her duck hunting father had her handling a shotgun at a very young age. Yes, that is slightly terrifying.
