John Lithgow Joins 'Planet Of The Apes' Prequel, Freida Pinto Now Confirmed

It was reported last week that offers had gone out to Don Cheadle and Freida Pinto for roles in the upcoming "Planet of the Apes" prequel, "Rise of the Apes." The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog reveals today that not only is Pinto confirmed, but she'll be joined by awesome actor-dude John Lithgow, who recently impressed the hell out of pretty much everyone during his stint as a villain on the fourth season of "Dexter." No word on Cheadle, but Pinto will play the female lead -- a primatologist -- and Lithgow will play the Alzheimer's-afflicted father of the male lead, played by James Franco.
