Ben Stiller's Mother's Day Plans, Parents As Biggest Influences

Today is Mother's Day and Ben Stiller is going to take a break from prepping "Zoolander 2" to spend time with his family. I suppose that's okay. He also cites his parents as his biggest influences, which isn't so surprising when you consider that they're Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara. The Wilhelm Scream In 'Iron Man 2,' The Gulf Oil Spill And 'Community' In Today's Twitter-Wood

Jon Favreau confirmed earlier this year that he included the revered Hollywood sound sample "The Wilhelm Scream" in "Iron Man 2," but last night on Twitter, he stopped short of revealing where it ended up. I'm going to to see it tonight and see if I can figure it out. In the meantime, give it a listen, and report back here if you can identify the scene.

In other tweets, Lloyd Kaufman weighed in on the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He also expressed disgust on the part of the Toxic Avenger. Rachelle Lefevre is helping Oprah out this weekend, and Alison Brie posted a pic from her "Community" rehearsal. 'Planet Of The Apes' Prequel Gets A Release Date, Dwayne Johnson Circles 'Fast & Furious' Sequel In Today's Dailies -- 5/7/10

Dwayne Johnson-- The prequel to "Planet of the Apes" has a release date: June 24, 2011. The Rupert Wyatt-directed prequel takes place in San Francisco where "man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy." [THR]

-- Dwayne Johnson is getting fast and furious, as reports peg The Rock as a potential co-star in the next installment in the "Fast & Furious" franchise. But that doesn't mean that Vin Diesel is out — apparently, Diesel and Johnson will find their need for speed on the same screen. [Deadline]

EXCLUSIVE: 'Zoolander' Sequel Not In Danger, Updates From Ben Stiller And Justin Theroux

Earlier this week, Ben Stiller posted a troubling tweet that led some fans to believe that the "Zoolander" sequel might be in danger. We spoke to him on the Time 100 red carpet days later and he quickly cleared it up, saying "I think that tweet has been misinterpreted a little." He didn't elaborate any more than that, but director/co-writer Justin Theroux sure did when we spoke to him at the "Iron Man 2" premiere.

"'Zoolander 2' is up next," he confirmed. "That's what I'm teeing up. We've got some big plans, but they're not fleshed out enough to talk about yet. I'm writing and directing." Read More...

'Eclipse' Soundtrack First Single Out May 17 From Muse

The "Eclipse" soundtrack's lineup hasn't been revealed yet, but one song has been confirmed. "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer confirmed on her website today that the first single, Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)," will be out on May 17, almost a month in advance of the June 8 soundtrack release.
