"Transformers 3" isn't out until July 2011, but the production is definitely gaining momentum. The latest news is that director Michael Bay and his crew will head to Florida and spend "about eight days" in early September shooting at the Kennedy Space Center, where Bay previously shot some of his 1998 hit "Armageddon." Location scouts reportedly checked out a number of other nearby spots, including surrounding swamps/woods, Patrick Air Force Base and more. Check out Central Florida News 13's full report (via SuperHeroHype) for additional details.

A gathering of "Eclipse" stars will be appearing on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" this afternoon. Namely, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning. The next "Twilight" movie hits theaters on June 30, and fans are understandably excited. To promote the appearance, Oprah's official website released an all-new image from the movie, which you can see below. Those Volturi vampires are looking very serious. And pissed. Probably has something to do with the newborn army that's raising so much hell. Click the image to check out the rest of our ever-growing "Eclipse" stills gallery.

We saw with Liam Neeson's brilliant "Taken" that leading men over 50 can still kick some serious ass, and such was the case with Mel Gibson's bow in "Edge of Darkness," which saw the actor investigating the death of his character's daughter, only to uncover a web of deceit and wacky conspiracies. Well now the action-thriller is hitting store shelves and to celebrate, we've got a featurette from the DVD and Blu-ray's special features. In it, Gibson and director Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale," the upcoming "Green Lantern") take you inside the method of their madness.

Jon Favreau evidently keeps great cookies around at the "Cowboys and Aliens" rehearsal room. That's what Olivia Wilde tweeted, anyhow, and she's hoping they don't impact her ability to put on the super-tight costumes used in "Tron Legacy."

Elsewhere, MTV Movie Award nominations have been released, and both Tom Felton and Ken Jeong were tweetably enthused to be on the ballots. They were just as thankful as David Lynch's friend surely was to have received a handcrafted box from the "Mulholland Dr." director. Click on past the jump to see what it looks like and find out what Autumn Reeser thought of Casey James "Mrs. Robinson" performance on "American Idol." It's all filed away in Twitter-Wood for May 12, 2010. Read More...

Beware, readers: There be spoilers here.

Is there any show that leaves you screaming at your TV more than "Lost"? This week's "Across the Sea" episode had many of us at MTV News yelling helplessly at inanimate objects. The entire show revolves around a cave filled with golden light? Wha? And of course, it had us feeling nostalgic for those times when the craziest mystery on the show was just a harmless polar bear on a tropical island. So here, in chronological order, is our list of the top 10 "WTF" moments in "Lost" history. Some of these moments were complete game-changers; others were just shocking. Tell us what we're missing in the comments below. Read More...

The cast of this "Real Steel" movie just keeps getting better and better. Director Shawn Levy told MTV recently that he doesn't want people to immediately think of the flick as that "robot boxing movie." But let's be honest... it's a robot boxing movie. There's going to be heart, sure. But there are also robots. Boxing.

The news today is that two more have joined the cast: "The Hurt Locker" star Anthony Mackie will play a boxing promoter while "Lost" star Evangeline Lilly will play a friend of the protagonist, Hugh Jackman's role. For more on this story, check out the full report at Variety.

Awkward. That's how I'd describe the exchange in this scene from "The Myth of the American Sleepover," the feature directorial debut from David Robert Mitchell. The craft in the scene is fine; it's the exchange between the two characters. That guy is being toyed with and he knows it. He seems to even enjoy it.

The story follows four suburban teenagers on their last night of summer, before the new school year begins. In the clip below, Rob (Marlon Morton) spies on Julie (Amy Seimetz) while she bathes; when she realizes he's there, instead of screaming about it she invites him in and decides to torture him a little bit. The film is having its world premiere at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival in the International Critics' Week section, the first American feature to receive that honor in five years.

It's been a little bit since I brought you the last "Eclipse" soundtrack update, but now I'm back and there are a bunch of new additions to report. Four more, to be precise.

New York City rock band The Bravery will be featured with a song called "Ours," which the band's blog reveals is all new for the soundtrack. Florence + the Machine also gets a track, "Heavy In Your Arms." Not so much a band, Florence + the Machine is the name Florence Welch records under, in a sort of rock/soul blend. I've poked around a little bit and it appears that "Heavy" is also a brand new track. For those not keeping score at home, it seems that everyone announced so far will be contributing newly recorded material to the soundtrack.

Or not. Fanfarlo breaks the trend, with their song "Atlas" being featured as the sixth song on the soundtrack. Or maybe not; "Atlas" is a song they've been playing live, but it doesn't appear to be on their one and only album, "Reservoir." Southern blues/rock duo The Black Keys look to have a new one though, a song called "Chop and Change." Check out video samples for all of the newly announced artists after the jump, including a live version of Fanfarlo's "Atlas." Read More...

The latest trailer for "Inception" arrived over the weekend and I posted it on the blog yesterday, wondering whether it reveals too much. I think it does, and while I still very much want to see the movie, I'm disappointed that certain key plot elements have now been spoiled. But hey, the movie's out in July and this isn't the first trailer; I could have NOT watched it.

Today brings the debut trailer for "The Adjustment Bureau," a smart sci-fi flick adapted from a Philip K. Dick short story and starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. I put my "Inception" post up as a question but, to me, there's no question here: this trailer reveals far, far too much. Do I want to see it? Absolutely. Would I have wanted to see it based on a trailer with a little less story, a little more of that cool imagery? Also, absolutely. It's especially baffling with the movie not hitting theaters until September 17. I'll still be there opening day, but if you want to stay pure I would caution you to skip this trailer.

The world is full of ninjas, robots, zombies... all manner of fantastical creatures. Still, we all knew that it would eventually come down to this all-star match-up: vampires vs. space aliens.

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards nominations have officially been announced. "The Hangover" actually leads the pack, with six nominations. Big-ticket "Best Movie" contenders "Avatar" and "New Moon" each have five noms and they face off in three categories. Will the top-grossing movie of all time be able to defeat the enduring appeal of the Cullen/Swan/Black love triangle? The odds would seem to favor James Cameron's blue aliens, but MTV's audience does have a great love for the "Twilight." I'd run a poll to see what you readers think but, well... that's what the voting page is for. For more of a rundown on the nominees, check out the full report on MTV.com.
