"The Sarah Silverman Program" has friends strewn across Twitter-Wood, and many of them offered shout-outs this week to mourn its cancellation on Comedy Central. Rosario Dawson was one of them yesterday, and Brian Posehn shared his own thoughts via a tweet today.

Dane Cook, meanwhile, caught Playboy's news about featuring their first 3-D model, and he reacted about like you would expect Dane Cook to react. You can find his fears, Jeremy Piven with Mike Tyson and Adam McKay's proposal for remedying the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico after the jump in Twitter-Wood for May 13, 2010. Read More...

Remember "Pixels"? I posted it here a few weeks ago. Take another look, refresh your memory:

Neat, right? If watching the video isn't something you're interested in or able to do, I'll summarize: New York City is invaded by a range of classic video games, including "Donkey Kong," "Pac-Man," "Frogger," "Tetris" and a few others. It's a really well done two-and-a-half minutes of video, one that is brimming with potential for a full-blown movie treatment. Adam Sandler apparently thinks so as well, as The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog reveals that his Happy Madison shingle has teamed up with the short's director, Patrick Jean, to develop it into a feature. As I went through my RSS feed this morning, this one news brief caught my eye: "'Rollercoaster Tycoon' riding to the screen for Sony Pictures Animation," as reported by The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog.

I usually try to keep an open mind about things here on MTV Movies Blog. There's a long history in Hollywood of bad ideas becoming bad movies of course, but there's an equally long history of bad ideas turning out great in film. Who would have ever thought that the board game "Clue" would work on the big screen?! Still, there are some things I simply cannot get behind. Things that actually make my blood boil a little. A film treatment of "Rollercoaster Tycoon" is one of those things. Read More...

Today is Robert Pattinson's 24th birthday. Who is Robert Pattinson, you ask?

Wait... no one's asking that. The "Twilight" star is such a big presence on screen that it's easy to forget he's actually a pretty young dude. Pattinson's got a long, full life ahead of him. We sent MTV's Photoshop wizards into a time machine to get a sense of exactly where life will take him. Below is Pattinson at age 60, starring in a "Something's Gotta Give" remake with "Twilight" co-star Kristen Stewart. To see the rest of the gallery, click the image below.

In 1990, a movie was released called "Troll 2." It's not actually a sequel to anything; the title was simply meant to draw in audiences familiar with the 1986 horror flick "Troll." In fact, there aren't even any trolls in "Troll 2." There are goblins. Vegetarian goblins who turn their victims into plants before consuming them.

Yes, I agree. That's freaking amazing. As you might expect, "Troll 2" wasn't exactly what industry folk refer to as a "hit." It has however become a cult classic. So much so that child star Michael Stephenson made a documentary about the production, "Best Worst Movie." You can see a clip of it below, in which the original stars laugh at some of the direction they received on the set.

Yesterday, Variety reported that "District 9" star Sharlto Copley was being replaced in upcoming sci-fi flick "I Am Number Four" by "Hitman" star Timothy Olyphant due to "scheduling conflicts." A report emerged later from our friends over at Film Drunk, who reported that the real reason for Copley departure stems from creative differences over his alien character's appearance. They wrote that the actor "wanted wear a prosthetic nose and fake ears like Spock and look like an alien in the movie, while director DJ Caruso was adamant that the aliens were supposed to look just like regular humans, hence why they’re able to fit in."

MTV News contributing editor Josh Wigler spoke to Copley yesterday following the MTV Movie Awards nominations announcement (he's up for Best Scared-As-S--t Performance), and the actor was happy to set the record straight. "It was pretty much what was announced today — the schedule," he explained. "I had actually never announced [my involvement] and neither had DreamWorks, officially. Someone leaked that." Bill Condon had to do some schedule rearrangement in order to take on the final chapter in the "Twilight" series, "Breaking Dawn." One of the big projects he was forced to step away from is "Salmon Fishing in the Yemen," an adaptation of the Paul Torday novel which is set to star Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt and Kristin Scott. The Hollywood Reporter reveals today that "Dear John" director Lasse Hallstrom will be taking over for Condon. Check out the full report there.

Mere minutes after I hit publish on the new image of "Eclipse," released on Oprah's website to amp fans up for today's episode featuring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning, a new clip from the movie popped up Apple's website featuring the scene from which that image comes. Fanning and her fellow Volturi are indeed looking concerned because of the growing newborn army in Seattle, part of Victoria's (Bryce Dallas Howard) plot to avenge the death of her vampy lover James (Cam Gigandet) in the first movie. We can't embed the clip here, but we can direct you to it (if you haven't already found it on your own).

What do you think? I really liked that last, action-focused "Eclipse" trailer, but this scene doesn't really do it for me. Granted, I'm not exactly the target audience for this series, but having covered it extensively I'm familiar enough with what's going on to be able to form some opinions. I like the look of the scene, but the performances -- and maybe this is just a question of context -- feel a little wooden. What do you real fans think?
