Even if you've been following the odd saga of Joaquin Phoenix over the past couple years, it's still difficult to separate the facts from the fiction. In mid-2008 it was learned that the actor was switching gears in his career to focus on creating music, specifically hip-hop. This shift quickly became the subject of a documentary, directed by Casey Affleck, about the move. Phoenix is getting plenty of support for his music, with rap mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs reportedly mentoring him. So when MTV's Josh Horowitz sat down with the prolific rapper/producer/music executive/actor at the "Get Him to the Greek" junket, he had to dig a little deeper into what's going on with the Phoenix.
