"Forgetting Sarah Marshall" was hilariously funny, and there's no reason to think that the coming spin-off, "Get Him To The Greek," will be anything less. The focus in this outing will be on "Sarah Marshall" supporting player and crazed rock star Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) and a young record company junior executive's (Jonah Hill) quest to get him to a concert at the Greek Theater.

Brand is promoting a contest at BangersBeansandMash.com which asks fans to record their own version of the song named in the site's URL (yes, you can hear it there as well). Submitted videos will be judged and rated; the winner will get a free trip to Los Angeles, where they'll attend the premiere. The movie opens on June 4, but you'll be able to pick up the soundtrack -- which features music from Snow and his band, Infant Sorrow -- on June 1. The first single from the soundtrack, "Just Say Yes" (written by Jarvis Cocker), is out even sooner, on May 11.

"Lost" has ended.

Wait, let me rephrase that. The filming of "Lost" has ended. Last week, executive producers and co-showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse confirmed that the series finale has wrapped filming, meaning that each and every actor's work on the series is over. Pretty soon — as in less than a month soon — every aspect of "Lost" will be over. It's pretty surreal, isn't it?

We still have a few episodes to go before total "Lost" withdrawal, but sadly, there was no new episode to satisfy our cravings last night. Thankfully, Wired recently posted a photo of Lindelof and Cuse in the official "Lost" writer's room that provides plenty of intriguing (and potentially spoilery) easter eggs worth salivating over. You can check out some of the details I noticed after the jump. Read More...

The world learned last week (officially-- quiet, peanut gallery) that Aziz Ansari will be hosting the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. But who is Aziz Ansari? Sure, he's got a starring role on the hit sitcom "Parks & Recreation" and he single-handedly made "Funny People" worth watching with his Raaaaaaaandy character. But who is he really? Diddy knows. And Zac Efron. And Kristen Bell too. They tell all in the video below.

"Iron Man 2" isn't out until next week, but you'd hardly know it with all of the buzz that's flying around the Internet. The architects of the Marvel sequel must be pretty pleased, especially director Jon Favreau, who also helmed the first flick.

The movie's Monday night premiere in Los Angeles is partly responsible for the buzz, as many players -- both reporters and celebrities -- have now seen it and are talking about it. The cast and crew certainly had a lot to say to MTV when we caught up to them on the crowded red carpet. The cast had a great time though, as we can see in today's Daily TwitPic. Favreau didn't snap the pic (since he's in it and all), but he tweeted it. Hit the jump to see "Iron Man 2"'s key cast & crew arrayed out across the red carpet, presumably for some group photo op. You don't get more touchy a subject matter than the murder of a young child, but that's exactly what Peter Jackson was up against when he began the process of adapting the bestselling novel "The Lovely Bones." So it's particularly interesting then to hear his thoughts as he's in the middle of shooting a crucial scene in the film, that of Mark Wahlberg feverishly searching for his daughter. That's just what we have in the clip below from the special features of the DVD and Blu-ray, which has now hit store shelves.

The red carpet at the "Iron Man 2" premiere looked pretty swank last night, but for those of us who couldn't make the trip, director Jon Favreau dropped a photo on Twitter. Todd Barry, meanwhile, tweeted about another photo that showed up on the Internet. I can only assume he was referring to the one shown on Telegraph.co.uk of actor Randy Quaid getting arrested.

You can check those retweets out after the jump alongside Shannon Elizabeth's earthquake jitters, Diablo Cody on her "Robot Chicken" contribution and David Spade's take on "Kick-Ass." I'm @brianwarmoth, and this is Twitter-Wood for April 27, 2010.

Twitter Pic of the Day:

@ToddBarry I want the children of the world to have smiles as big as the one on Randy Quaid's face when he's being arrested.
-Todd Barry, Actor ("Pootie Tang," "The Wrestler")

@diablocody Going to lend my voice to ROBOT CHICKEN today. I've always been robotic as an actress, so stop-motion might be my calling.
-Diablo Cody, Writer ("Juno," "Jennifer's Body")

@ShannonElizab Am I crazy or was there a small earthquake this morning? I might have dreamed it. Either way I have to put a survival kit together stat!
-Shannon Elizabeth, Actress ("American Pie," "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back")

@JamesUrbaniak The M.I.A. video's allegorical use of redheads reminds me of Randy Newman's allegorical use of short people.
-James Urbaniak, Actor ("The Venture Bros.," "Across the Universe")

@DavidSpade saw kick ass tonight. thought it was great. the little hit girl was perfect. worth checking this one out i think

The Ring-- Thankfully, you have more than seven days to prepare yourself for "Ring 3D," the third installment in the horror franchise centering on a killer video creature. The 3-D film comes from "Dream House" writer David Loucka and is being billed as "more teen-centric" than the two Naomi Watts-starring outings. [Heat Vision]

-- Jason Statham isn't coming to the small screen, but "The Transporter" is. Luc Besson's EuropaCorp is teaming up with Atlantique Prods. for twelve one-hour episodes of a "Transporter" television series. Production is expected to begin in early 2011. [Variety]

-- "The A-Team" director Joe Carnahan isn't closed off to a Mr. T cameo, though he suggested that such a role might be better left for a sequel. "He'd be a great villain, totally unexpected," Carnahan teased. "Wouldn't that be perfect?" [Empire] Read More...

Hugh Hefner is Hollywood's greatest hero. When the aging Playboy Enterprises founder sees a good cause, he fights for it. That's exactly what happened when Hefner donated the crucial $900,000 needed in order to save the legendary Hollywood sign from becoming the site for new luxury homes and hotels. What a champ.

Truthfully, Hefner's heroism in this situation makes me wonder about some of the other great Hollywood catastrophes he would have been able to fix if given the chance — the fictional ones, of course! After the jump, here are some Hollywood endings that Hefner could have fixed. Read More...

"The A-Team." Does anyone hear or read that title without the iconic theme song popping into their heads? I guess maybe some of you younger readers aren't as familiar, but I have to believe that years in syndication have kept the TV-spawned mercenary group alive for successive generations.

No worries if you're clueless though; Joe Carnahan has got you covered. The "Smokin' Aces" writer/director is following up his 2006 action flick with an adaptation of the classic TV series, and all signs so far point to "awesome." Just peep the trailer:

I love the bit with the parachuting tank and the fighter jet. That sort of action moment just screams "holy crap." Read More...

I really have nothing to say here; the video speaks for itself. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay go deep in their discussion of "The Other Guys," which hits theaters on August 6. Did you know that the movie isn't comedy? And that it's about both hope and Barack Obama? Facts. Hear more in the video below.
