"Scream 4" is now a little less than a year away, and we're starting to hear some things about it. Last night, Entertainment Weekly debuted a new teaser poster for the movie, featuring the tagline "New Decade, New Rules. They've also got a new interview with now-confirmed director Wes Craven to go along with it.

Specific plot revelations are minimal; Craven really only confirms that the setting -- at least in part -- will be the fictional town of Woodsboro, now shot in Michigan instead of northern California. There's much to take away from his vague comments and general observations, however. Reading between the lines leaves us much to think and speculate on. Read More...

Mickey Rourke has had an interesting few years since he came back into the spotlight after his role in "Sin City." He received a Best Actor Oscar nom for his performance in "The Wrestler," he'll star opposite Megan Fox and Bill Murray later this year in "Passion Play" and he gets his super-villain on next week in "Iron Man 2." It's for that last reason that MTV's Josh Horowitz sat down with Rourke over the weekend for a chat. And what did he learn? The actor doesn't pore over his scripts. Check out the video below then head over to MTV Splash Page for the full report.

For the past two Wednesday nights, "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone managed to tap back into the sort of controversy that originally put them in league with Hollywood's edgiest creatives. Episodes "200" and "201" received a lot of press for (not really) portraying Muhammad, the founder of Islam, as a character. This is something which has been a no-no since 2005, when a Dutch newspaper was censored for the same reason, inciting a maelstrom of commentary and criticism.

After "201" was censored by the network, viewers attempting to stream it on the South Park Studios website were greeted with a message that the stream would be delayed due to some surprise, last-minute edits but they'd "be back next week with a whole new show about something completely different and we'll see what happens to it."

Well they were back last night. And it was something completely different. The underlying message? Don't do drugs. That, and Restore Stephen Baldwin. Read More...

If you're excited about the "Nightmare On Elm Street" remake starring Jackie Earle Haley that comes out this week, you may be more interested in the project than Nicky Hilton, who tweeted about some bad childhood memories she still carries from the first film.

In other posting, buddy shots were all the rage last night, with "Last Airbender" actor Aasif Mandvi hanging out with Dr. Sanjay Gupta and more Twitter-Wood ladies than I can list here getting together for dinner with Candace Cameron Bure and Denise Richards. Check those out after the jump along with Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's thoughts on British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's "bigoted" comment and a Gray's Papaya fan.

It's all documented in Twitter-Wood for April 28, 2010. Read More...

There are people in the world who flip through to the end of a book or peruse spoiler blogs in order to learn how a story ends before it's even over. Sometimes in the film world it's a practice that can come in handy — particularly when there's a secret scene after a movie's credits that the viewer didn't know to stick around for.

These scenes — often referred to in the industry as "stingers" — come in varying degrees of importance and brilliance, but more often than not, the scenes are quite memorable. Because the post-credits scene of "Iron Man 2" became public knowledge today (assuming you're interested in reading such things), we got to thinking about some of our own favorite stingers.

After the jump, check out six of the greatest movie stingers of all time! Read More...

"The Hangover" director Todd Phillips has another movie coming out very soon. "Due Date" stars Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis as a mismatched pair of road trippers. Along the way they meet up with a pot dealer, played by Juliette Lewis. In the video below, Lewis describes her cameo and speaks a little to the difficulty of working on the set with someone like Galifianakis.

Yesterday we posted an exclusive four-minute clip to "The Human Centipede (First Sequence)"—which premieres today in limited release—in which the Mad Doctor explains his crazy plans to his unfortunate victims. Crazy-ass experiments and medical procedures are a staple of cinematic storytelling. Sure "Human Centipede" takes the cake and then force-feeds it back to us, but the concept of people attempting to make science their bitch has been entertaining and freaking the hell out of people for quite some time.

Slip on your doctor scrubs and hit the jump for five examples of movies that laugh at modern medicine and take the term "human guinea pig" to a new level of creepy. Read More...

NOTE: This post has been corrected to reflect an error in the original press release. MTV was notified by a WB rep that the 2013 release date originally listed for "The Hobbit" was inaccurate.

Today brings word of a major partnership formed between Warner Bros. Pictures and IMAX Corporation. A press release reveals that "up to 20" upcoming WB titles will be released in the giant-screen format between now and 2013, including "The Hobbit," "Superman," "Batman 3," "Dark Shadows," "Gravity" and more. Only a few of the titles listed -- and there are certainly more to come -- get release dates, but there's one set date that catches the eye: "The Hobbit" is hitting theaters in 2012 and 2013, respectively for parts one and two. For more details, check out the full report on MTV.com.

Legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis was a complex figure. He went through an incredible number of transformations in his life, and he pushed forward the genre of jazz music in almost indescribable ways. Don Cheadle, who next week replaces Terrence Howard as James Rhodes in "Iron Man 2," has been planning a biopic treatment of the musician's life for a number of years. MTV's Josh Horowitz asked the actor for an update at the weekend press junket for the Marvel flick, which hits theaters next Friday.

"The story is really not... a biopic per se," Cheadle said. "It's not attempting to be any cradle-to-grave depiction of [Miles'] life. It's more my take, as an artist, on what his music has meant. With wall-to-wall truth but not really much concerned about facts." Read More...
