HurleyEpisode Title: "Everybody Loves Hugo"

Written By: Edward Kitsis & Adam Horowitz

Story: All eyes are on former lottery winner Hurley (Jorge Garcia) when it comes time to leave the crash site of Oceanic 815 and figure out the next move — especially in light of one particular castaway's explosive disposition. But Hurley's decisions aren't universally embraced, leading to a schism within Team Jacob that puts Hugo and his followers on a potentially deadly path.

In the Sideways Reality, the uncharacteristically lucky Hurley agrees to go on a blind date, and his romantic chemistry with a mysterious pursuer attracts the attention of a recently awakened Desmond Hume (Henry Ian Cusick) — and Desmond himself has made some surprising maneuvers since putting his hands on the wheel of destiny. The pictures kept coming in the Twitter-Wood feed today Jeremy Piven posted a look behind the scenes at "Entourage" Season 7, where Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones showed up. Meanwhile, down in Haiti Demi Moore and Ben Stiller have been hanging around trying to do some good in Haiti and Lee Unkrich vigilantly tweeted another pic from a "Toy Story 3" recording session.

Get the skinny straight from her after the jump along with Kirstie Alley's make-out warning to Craig Ferguson and Arnold Schwarzenegger at Kings game. It's all in Twitter-Wood for April 13th, 2010. Seth MacFarlane, lord and master of all things "Family Guy," must have enjoyed his brief role on "FlashForward," because the comedian is returning to live action.

MacFarlane will make his directorial debut on "Ted," an R-rated comedy from Universal Pictures co-written by his "Family Guy" collaborators Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild. The film follows a man who has a bizarre relationship with his teddy bear, a CG character voiced by — no surprise here — MacFarlane himself.

While speculation on "Ted" is largely focused on MacFarlane, it's worth taking a look at Sulkin and Wild's credits, too. Their chemistry and sensibilities are well-documented as the writers have collaborated together on "Family Guy" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn" over the years, offering some hints at the tone and comedy style we might see in "Ted." For quite some time now, there's been a remake of the 1984 Kevin Bacon-starring classic "Footloose" in the works. First, "High School Musical" star Zac Efron was pegged for the lead role, but he later dropped out in order to pursue different opportunities. Then "Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford replaced Efron. The news today is that Crawford is out -- his TV shooting schedule got in the way -- and the studio will now begin casting to put an unknown in the part. In related news, the studio also wants "Hustle & Flow" director Craig Brewer to take the reins, but his schedule might make that impossible. Head over to MTV.com for the full story.

I'm really looking forward to checking out "Death at a Funeral" this weekend. Someone from Screen Gems e-mailed me towards the end of the year with a list of upcoming movies on the studio's slate. "Funeral" was among them. I immediately scanned past it to focus on more action-driven fare, like "Legion" and "Takers." A leopard can't change its spots and all that.

I later returned to "Funeral," a Neil Labute-directed remake of the 2007 UK film (directed by Frank Oz!), and watched the trailer. That was it. Massive ensemble cast that includes Tracy Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Martin Lawrence, Luke Wilson and Peter Dinklage. A trailer overflowing with funny moments. Chris Rock produced. I'm sold.

Rock has come quite a long way since his early bit roles in "Beverly Hills Cop II" and "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka." He's evolved as both a performer and a writer. Or has he? "CB4," which he wrote, produced and starred in, was sharp. And hilarious. As was Rock's writing work on "In Living Color." He's been sparing with his feature work behind the scenes since then, but BlackVoices revealed yesterday that Rock will be taking on his greatest challenge yet, scripting a remake of Akira Kurosawa's "High and Low" to be helmed by "Charlie Wilson's War" director Mike Nichols. UPDATE: /Film editor Peter Sciretta rightly points out that a very likely candidate for this adaptation is mystery/adventure game "The Last Express," created by none other than "Prince of Persia" architect Jordan Mechner. With "Prince" getting a soon-to-release adaptation and Mechner so freshly finished with that movie's screenplay, I'd frankly be surprised if this adaptation didn't turn out to be "The Last Express." Good catch guys.

Paul Verhoeven is a rare genius, the sort that not everyone recognizes. On the surface, works like "Starship Troopers," "Basic Instinct" and "RoboCop" seem like popcorn blockbusters, but there's a lot going on beneath the surface for those who choose to look for it. Fans should be excited then that the filmmaker is turning his attention to a medium that has frequently been abused by past Hollywood adaptations: video games.

"I am working on a movie now that is... situated in 1914. Basically, Indiana Jones-ish you could say, but also Hitchcockian," he explained in a recent interview with MTV's Josh Horowitz. "We are scripting it. It's an idea that exists already... from another medium, and so we are making it now into a film narrative." Which medium, Josh asked. "A game, a video game." Read More...

Hitting theaters this Friday is "Kick-Ass," from "Layer Cake" director Matt Vaughn. The movie follows a group of costumed crimefighters, only it's set in the real-world so there are no actual superpowers to speak of. Which isn't to say that the movie fails to live up to its title. A big reason for that is young Chloe Moretz, who plays Hit-Girl. She's a tenacious little brat, beating up bad guys twice her size and more. She's also rather foul-mouthed. How fortunate then that Moretz's mother is so supportive of her daughter; she read the script and OK'ed it for Chloe. She also presumably OK'ed Chloe's upcoming starring role in "Let Me In," the Matt Reeves-directed U.S. remake of "Let the Right One In."

Hear Chloe's talk about her mother and the "Kick-Ass" script approval in the video below; you can check out the full report over on MTV Splash Page.
