The 2010 edition of the MTV Movie Awards is set to air on Sunday, June 6, at 9pm ET. As you might remember from last year, for the first time we left the selection of candidates up to you. Nominees were voted on, whittled down and then voted on again by a public poll in the weeks leading up to the show. This year's show returns to that format, with 13 categories on the block. In addition to old standards like Best Kiss and Best Fight, there are several new ones: Global Superstar, Best Ass-Kicking Star and Best Scared-as-S--t Performance.
The categories are currently wide-open as we sort through the votes and select your final nominees in each. You'll be able to make your picks from an existing group -- or add in your own -- starting today and continuing until Friday, April 9, at 6pm ET. Voting will re-open on May 11 with each category finalized; you'll be able to vote for your top selection until June 5. The only oddball is Best Movie-- that voting category will be open through the show, closing just before the winner is announced on the night of June 6.
