Twitter-Wood voiced a wide variety of perspectives on the Academy Awards ceremony last night, and some posters like Ben Stiller and Lee Unkrich tweeted photos as well. Both of those guys showed off some privileged looks at the Oscars, but as you'll see below, one view was worth significantly more celebration.
Emma Roberts' crush on Shaun White came closer to resulting in a face-to-face meeting, but you'll have to read on below to find out what happened. Off all the opinions going up, I may have sided with director Errol Morris more than anyone. I'll let you make your own judgments regarding "Twilight," the new "Iron Man 2" trailer and other horror-movie issues raised after the jump in Twitter-Wood for March 8th, 2010.
Oscar night pt. 1: @RobertsEmma Shaun White bumped into me at In Style party. Highlight of my night. Sadly he got in the car before I could chase after him! Damn it!
-Emma Roberts, Actress ("Nancy Drew," "Aquamarine")
Oscar night pt. 2: @neilhimself Oh. The Guy in the bar who looked a bit like Sean Penn was actually Sean Penn. Strewth.
-Neil Gaiman, Writer ("Coraline," "Stardust")
Oscar night pt. 3: @NickyHilton I had no idea that Kathryn Bigelow used to be married to James Cameron. I guess beating out your ex for an Oscar is as good as revenge gets!
-Nicky Hilton, Actress ("Pledge This!," "Wishman")
Oscar night pt. 4: @Janefonda I wish she'd acknowledged her ex James Cameron #oscars
-Jane Fonda, Actress ("The Morning After," "Monster-in-Law")
Oscar night pt. 5: @errolmorris I still think "Bruno" was best picture. Maybe I'm the only Academy member who voted for it.
-Errol Morris, Director (”The Fog of War,” “Standard Operating Procedure”)
@Jon_Favreau Instead of party hopping on Oscar night I'm home tweeting links to a trailer premiere. Welcome to the new Hollywood.
-Jon Favreau, Writer/Actor/Director ("Elf," "Iron Man")
Horror movies pt. 1: @RealCliveBarker It may be a small gesture by the Academy that Horror Movies exist, but to see iconic monsters on screen , including Pinhead, made me smile.
-Clive Barker, Writer/Director (”Hellraiser,” “The Midnight Meat Train”)
Horror movies pt. 2: @james_gunn What better people to present the horror reel than the stars of Twilight? #f---yousohardoscars
-James Gunn, Writer/Director/Actor ("Slither," "Super")
Horror movies pt. 3: @billy_burke Horror film tribute?? HUH?? What was that even about? 37 years since they've been recognized (for The Exorcist)?? Uh, WRONG...
-Billy Burke, Actor ("Twilight," "Highland Park")
