Editor's note: This story ran yesterday, but it had to be pulled for a variety of reasons. It's back now. Fishburne's in the movie. It's gonna be cool.

What could possibly make producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal's "Predators" any cooler? For a start, they could send Morpheus after the four-jawed creatures... and thankfully, that's exactly what they're doing.

Almost exactly, at least, as Bloody Disgusting has learned that Laurence Fishburne is plugging out of "The Matrix" (or stepping out of the "CSI" crime lab, if you'd prefer) to join the fight against the "Predators," the third installment in the much beloved franchise, if you're not counting the significantly less beloved "Aliens vs. Predators" movies. Jason Reitman wasn't bluffing yesterday when he said he would be carrying the Olympic Torch through Toronto, and he's got a picture up to prove it today. Selecting the Twitter Pic of the Day wasn't easy this afternoon, considering Reitman's post was accompanied by Eliza Dushku's shot of the "Dollhouse" wrap party, a view of "New Moon" actress Christian Serratos' latest photo shoot and a 2003 photo from Roger Ebert that appears to show Bob Dylan with blond hair.

Click on down, and you'll find all of those posts, as well as a few reactions to James Cameron's "Avatar," what Liv Tyler did inside Rainn Wilson's car and the celebratory gift Eli Roth plans on sending his fellow "Inglourious Basterds" actors in honor of their SAG Award nomination. It's all retweeted in the Twitter-Wood report for December 17, 2009. Read more...

Tina Fey and Steve CarellSteve Carell and Tina Fey are getting married. Well, not really. Just in fiction land. And maybe not even there. Really, the whole marriage thing is an uncertain proposition.

Should Carell and Fey choose to tie the knot on the big screen, it would come in the form of "Mail-Order Groom," a Warner Bros. Comedy in which Fey would star as "a naïve single woman who can't find love and ends up with a husband from Eastern Europe, bringing him home to the States," according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pigs aren't walking, folks. In fact, the pigs are dead.

Or more precisely, the "Hogs" aren't moving, as Disney has pulled the plug on "Wild Hogs 2: Bachelor Ride," the professed sequel to John Travolta, Tim Allen, William H. Macy and Martin Lawrence's 2007 flick about middle-aged bikers facing their inevitable mid-life crisis.

Despite having writers aboard for the sequel's script, not to mention ongoing discussions with returning cast and crew, Disney decided to roast the pig instead, resulting in the third Disney movie death in recent weeks. Read more...

Emily Blunt’s performance as the future queen of England in "The Young Victoria" doesn’t even hit theaters until this Friday and she’s already earned a Golden Globe nomination! Sure, we all know her from “The Devil Wears Prada,” but much like the British ruler who reigned from 1837 to 1901, Blunt seems to be quite the over-achiever.

In the above exclusive clip from the movie, her Victoria can be seen proposing marriage to Albert (Rupert Friend), an extremely rare move at the time, and one that was totally in-character for the Queen who ascended to the throne at age eighteen and immediately began re-writing the rules. The freshly announced Screen Actor's Guild Award nominations include plenty of the usual suspects you were expecting to see mentioned. "Up in the Air," "Inglourious Basterds," "The Hurt Locker," "Invictus" and more are all nominated for acting achievements, reflecting a vast chunk of the major nominees at this year's Golden Globes.

What isn't on the list, however, is "Avatar." Despite getting some surprising nominations at the Globes, including a nod for Best Drama of the Year, James Cameron's return to feature filmmaking did not receive a single shred of credit from the SAG's corner of Hollywood.

But let's get serious for a moment... does it really matter? Read more...

FROM MTV.COM: Thursday morning's nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards have confirmed what has become increasingly clear since the Golden Globe noms two days earlier: Films like "Up in the Air" and "Precious" are the indisputable favorites heading into the peak of awards season.

Both of those films, as well as Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds," racked up three nods each, followed by the likes of "The Hurt Locker" and "Nine," each with two. With just five motion picture categories — including an Outstanding Performance by a Cast in place of the more traditional recognition for best film — no one movie dominated the results.
