Good afternoon, everyone. Before the Aughts come to a close at midnight tonight, I just want to take a moment to thank you readers for your support and your interest in MTV Movies Blog this year. I started the job at the beginning of May, a few short weeks before the whirlwind of action that was the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. It was a trial by fire; the turnout for our live blog left me pretty sure I'd passed, but I definitely singed a few whiskers along the way.
Really, I just want to take this moment before the year ends to thank you readers for your participation in the ongoing dialogue here on MTV Movies Blog. It's been enlightening, learning from you all. I don't think I'll ever be able to call myself a "Twilight" fan, but it's fascinating aspect of our pop culture and -- as a multi-faceted fanboy myself -- I have boundless respect for the ever-growing legion of fans who have turned it into a phenomenon.
2010 is going to be all about establishing stronger voices here on MTV Movies Blog. There are some exceptionally talented writers and reporters contributing content already and several more to come. In addition to maintaining the same high standard of news reporting and commentary here on the blog, my hope is that we'll see some new regular features emerge, platforms like Twitter-Wood that allow one writer or another to own his or her work. We're nowhere without your feedback though, so please keep the discussion going in the comments sections, on Twitter and with us directly at tips@mtvmoviesblog.com.
Thanks again to you all for your continued support. See you in 2010!
