Steve Carell and Tina Fey are getting married. Well, not really. Just in fiction land. And maybe not even there. Really, the whole marriage thing is an uncertain proposition.
Should Carell and Fey choose to tie the knot on the big screen, it would come in the form of "Mail-Order Groom," a Warner Bros. Comedy in which Fey would star as "a naïve single woman who can't find love and ends up with a husband from Eastern Europe, bringing him home to the States," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Despite the announcement of the potential romantic comedy, nothing is completely set in stone just yet. "Groom" lacks a director at the moment, and Carell and Fey are both juggling hectic schedules thanks to their television obligations on NBC's "The Office" and "30 Rock" respectively.
The only open window for them to film "Groom," THR reports, is after filming concludes on their respective shows for the season. Even then, however, Fey (and presumably Carell) is entering "PR mode during the month of April for 'Date Night,'" her upcoming film opposite – you guessed it – Steve Carell.
The news to take from this, aside from the fact that another Fey-Carell romantic comedy could be on the way, is that the comedians aren't sick of each other. That bodes well for their chemistry on "Date Night," and should that movie prove a success amongst fans, I don't think anyone would argue against seeing the funny people on screen together for a second time.
