Do you see the image over there, off to the right? Look at the expression on the faces of Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, stars of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." They don't look happy, do they? It could be because they're on the run, being pursued by the evil Lord Voldemort and his loyal army of Death Eaters. But no. That doesn't look like fear. It looks more like... disappointment.
Of course it does! That pic is shrunken down, partial version of our first official look at "Deathly Hallows." Young Potter and his friends look disappointed because this is such an incredibly unfulfilling ensemble shot. There's no action, no hint of special effects, not even any clear indication of where the mages-in-training are. So we'll keep waiting for the first worthwhile still from "Deathly Hallows." OR for next week's DVD/Blu-ray release of "Half-Blood Prince," which will come packing the first footage from "Deathly Hallows." To tide you over, check out the full image over on USA Today, along with some choice quotes from director David Yates.
