FlashForwardEpisode Title: "Believe"

Written By: Nicole Yorkin & Dawn Prestwich

Synopsis: The spotlight shines on Doctor Bryce Varley (Zachary Knighton) as we learn the reason behind his blackout-botched suicide attempt and his consequently renewed faith in life — which has something to do with the beautiful Keiko Arahida (Yuko Takeuchi), a low-level Japanese business woman with a thing for sushi and tattoos. The Mosaic Team gets some insight into Demetri Noh's (John Cho) future murder, while Aaron Stark (Brian F. O'Byrne) struggles with the return of his daughter Tracy (Genevieve Cortese) and their shared taste for alcohol. Read More...

For the record, I always link back to the source and cite everyone's tweets that I use from the Twitter-Wood follow list, including Edgar Wright. That's more than can be said for an edited version of an Edward Woodward memorial he wrote on his blog that showed up in edited form on the Times website, though, according to his posts today.

I do make a minimal number of edits, such as the f-bomb in Ice-T's Twitter Pic of the Day winner today, which was followed by yet another Brett Ratner/Michael Jackson pic. You need see that one for the giant wig along. Check it all out after the jump along with a "New Moon" cast shot from Gil Birmingham, Alyson Hannigan's musical Joss Whedon nostalgia and Jamie Campbell Bower's befuddlement over Justin Bieber. It's all in the Twitter-Wood report for November 19, 2009. Read More...

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: Would you be surprised to hear we have one more Robert Pattinson trailer to show you before tomorrow's big "New Moon" premiere? Probably not, right? But what if we told you it had nothing to do with sparkling vampires? In a feat of epic timing, Summit has released the trailer for Rob's other 2010 film "Remember Me" right in time to coincide with the hoopla surrounding the sequel's release. And in typical RPattz style, the comely actor is all brooding melancholy in this first sneak peek.

The film centers around a pair of star-crossed lovers (sound familiar?) dealing with their own family tragedies. The trailer opens on Tyler (Rob) trying to break up a street fight, ultimately leading to his arrest and a bloodied face (which explains all those paparazzi shots of a worse-for-the-wear Rob strolling through New York City). When Tyler's father Charles, played by Pierce Brosnan, comes to bail him out, it's clear there's no love lost between father and son. "You could do worse than a father who bails you out of jail," Charles says. "I don't want to be bailed out of anything," Tyler shoots back.

Who are the Observers? What is their purpose? And do they do more than just observe? Well, tonight's episode of "Fringe" seeks to answer at least some of the lingering questions about the bald-headed, condiment-loving characters and just what role they will play in the upcoming episodes.

"The episode that we actually do have coming up us one of my favorites," Anna Torv told MTV News, referring to tonight's episode, titled "August." "We sort of get to meet the Observers. At the moment what we know about them, they... seemingly just observe. That’s kind of it, but [in] the episode that we have coming up, we're not sure if all they do is just observe." Read More...

The game-to-film adaptation train rolls on. Lots of passengers this week too. Yesterday, HBO's "Rome" star Kevin McKidd said that discussions are underway for a "Call of Duty" movie, unsurprising given the massive success of the just-released "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2."

And earlier today we brought you updates from "Twilight" producer Wyck Godfrey, who is also developing adaptations of recent hits "Gears of War" and "Dead Space." In yet more game adaptation news, Capcom has announced that their unreleased title "Dark Void" has been picked up by Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment as a potential vehicle for the "Inglourious Basterds" star. FROM SPLASH PAGE: Sure, Anne Hathaway is the latest in a long line of rumored contenders for the role of Black Cat in "Spider-Man 4" (even though there's no confirmation the character is even in the film), but does anyone remember another rumor from a few years back that cast an entirely different actress in the role?

Well, even if you didn't remember the pre-"Spider-Man 3" rumor that had "Dollhouse" actress Eliza Dushku playing cat burglar Felicia Hardy, we did — and we asked her about it when she dropped by Splash Page HQ a while back.

"Don't you love the Internet and the fans out there?" Dushku laughed when MTV Movies Editor Josh Horowitz asked if she'd seen the fan-made "Spider-Man 4" posters with her as Black Cat. "They do it up!"

"New Moon" hits theaters on Friday, to the delight of Twilighters everywhere. The director, Chris Weitz, is a favorite of fans and cast members to helm the (technically still unconfirmed) fourth installment in the series, "Breaking Dawn."

Unfortunately, the enthusiasm may not matter much anymore. Weitz, who is previously known for his work on another fantasy adaptation, "The Golden Compass," as well as the Oscar-nominated "About a Boy," is thinking about folding up his director's chair and putting away his pen. Whether or not "New Moon" is a critical success, offers will surely follow in the wake of its release. From the sound of things however, Weitz already has his next project mapped out. After that... the show might be over. Read More...

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: In some of their final stops on the New York City press tour for "New Moon," Robert Pattinson visited the set of "Late Show with David Letterman" and Kristen Stewart hung out with Jimmy Fallon on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

The Letterman show was fueled with the topic of "New Moon." In his opening monologue he commented that vampire teens stay up all night and then sleep all day, adding, "Isn't that every teenager? When you think about it, isn't that what other kids do?" and elaborating, "These teenagers not only drain you of your blood but they also empty your refrigerator." In his mockery of Barack Obama's interview with Fox News, he claimed the number four highlight of the interview was he began a feud over which twilight star is hunkier, Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner.

The vampires of "Twilight" aren't the only bloodsuckers making the rounds this week. "True Blood" star Stephen Moyer is earning a name for himself on the big screen as well, first with "Priest" — an adaptation of the TokyoPop manga series — and now with a thriller called "The Caller."

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moyer is joining the film alongside Brittany Murphy and Luis Guzman, making for one of the strangest casting round-ups that I can think of in recent memory. "The Caller" is directed by Mathew Parkhill and written by Sergio Casci. Read More...

FROM SPLASH PAGE: A while back, the third "Batman" movie seemed to be the subject of new casting rumors every day — from Michael Caine's assertion that Johnny Depp would play The Riddler to a British tabloid's "scoop" that Shia LaBeouf would play Robin. Nowadays, though, "Spider-Man 4" has been receiving the lion's share of casting rumors, including quite a few that have popped up, circulated widely and subsequently been debunked within the last week.

Last week, many blogs echoed an anonymous rumor that Rachel McAdams would play Black Cat, only to have the actress dismiss the casting report this week. The dust had barely settled, whoever, when another Black Cat rumor hit the 'Net — this time, featuring Julia Stiles.

So, now we find ourselves wondering which one of these rumors you'd like to see become official. Is it one of the Black Cat rumors or something else entirely? What about Dylan Baker's potential return as The Lizard or Bruce Campbell's "meaty" cameo?
