Richard Kelly is the man. Not just because he'll be here all this week, posting as a guest editor for MTV Movies Blog. It helps, sure, but we're talking about the guy who made "Donnie Darko" here. And "Southland Tales." Isn't that enough? Not for Kelly it isn't. His latest brain-twisting tale, "The Box," hits theaters on November 6. And he has a dynamite week of content planned for y'all, so sit back and enjoy!

A STUDY IN SOCIAL NETWORKING AND CYBER-NARCISSISM

The folks at MTV.COM have generously invited me to be guest editor of their blog this week . . . with my upcoming film "The Box" (opening in theaters November 6th!), I took them up on their offer.

Given this is a way for me to communicate directly with all of you, it made sense to start with the topic - or should I say the business - of social networking. Read More...

FROM MTV.COM: Although they may daydream of sitting with Bella in the Forks High cafeteria or running through the trees with Edward, most "Twilight" fans have never had the opportunity to actually meet the famous faces who've come to personify Stephenie Meyer's creations onscreen. Now, a newly announced "Twilight" tour will bring thousands of these fans the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to converse with a Cullen.

"This November, Summit Entertainment invites 'Twilight' fans to the 'Twilight Saga: New Moon' cast tour, visiting 15 cities nationwide," the studio behind the franchise announced in a press release late Friday (October 23).

George MillerThe "Mad Max" rumor mill evolved into a flat-out fact-churning factory over the weekend thanks to words from director George Miller, who spoke with news outlets about progress on the fourth installment in the franchise.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Miller, who said that "Fury Road" — the upcoming "Mad Max" sequel's title — would make New South Wales in Australia a very desirable filming location for big blockbusters, likely due to its reported $100 million budget. Read More...

FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: It worked out pretty well for those Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Billy Bob Thornton guys. Now, could “Twilight” series star Justin Chon follow in their star-making footsteps and write himself a classic movie role?

Back in the mid-90s, the three stars were struggling actors who’d appeared in a decent number of feature films, but felt like they weren’t being offered the right kinds of roles by Hollywood. Mix in Matt and Ben’s screenplay for “Good Will Hunting,” an Oscar for Best Screenwriting, and the rest is history. Billy Bob Thornton followed a similar path with “Sling Blade.”

You can't go a month in the movie industry without hearing scuttlebutt of the legendary "Arrested Development" movie — an oft-discussed project, yes, but elusive and viewed with some skepticism all the same.

But recent word from cast members and even a quasi-official announcement have offered a glimmer of hope towards the film's big screen prospects, and this weekend brought further fuel for that small-but-growing flame in the form of comments from series creator Mitch Hurwitz himself. Read More...

FROM MTV.COM: The tabloid covers may be dominated by Rob and Kristen, but in the hearts and minds of "Twilight" fans, there is no cover girl as dazzling as so-sweet-she'll-give-you-a-cavity series star Ashley Greene.

With "New Moon" less than a month away (hooray!), and Alice Cullen's screen time substantially increased, we caught up with the actress and occasional MTV News correspondent to get her latest thoughts on stealing expensive cars, playing board games with Kellan Lutz, and the "New Moon" cast's shared love of ... kittens?

The latest trailer for "The Wolfman" hit last week. Personally, I'm much more excited for the Benicio del Toro-starring remake of the 1941 creature feature now. Where the previous trailer fell short in delivering man-dog action, this one brings the bared teeth and then some. And since there's nothing funnier than a man turning into a flesh-eating dog (seriously... nothing funnier), the trailer was practically screaming -- or perhaps HOWLING -- for a Freeze Frame treatment.

Check out the untouched trailer after the jump. Read More...

Our old Daily TwitPic pal John Stamos is back today. He's been absent for the past few weeks, it's true. A guy like Stamos is never truly gone though; Jesse Katsopolis will always, always be there, whether he likes it or not.

The pic you'll find after the jump is a blast from the past. I'm not too up on my celebrity power couples, but Stamos used to date actress Demi Moore if the Internet is to be believed. Moore is currently married to Ashton Kutcher while Stamos continues to enjoy a bachelor's life after his 2005 divorce, but one would imagine they're still close if Stamos is posting pics like this. And his tweeted message, to "enjoy today," is one we could all stand to take to heart. See the sepia-toned old days of Stamos and Moore after the jump. Read More...

2. "Saw VI" ($14.8 million)
3. "Where The Wild Things Are" ($14.4 million)
4. "Law Abiding Citizen" ($12.7 million)
5. "Couples Retreat" ($11.1 million)

Aside from the Ghostbusters themselves, it's hard to imagine a force powerful enough to topple "Paranormal Activity," the independently financed and created horror film from director Oren Peli. Now with its largest theater count to date at 1,945, "Paranormal" has finally ascended to the top spot at the box office with a $22 million weekend finish. Read More...

Written By: Maurissa Tanchareon & Jed Whedon

The Story: The lens is tightened upon Sierra (Dichen Lachman) as viewers learn about her tragic past.
