I'll bet you Twilighters are still buzzing over the news that the next "New Moon" trailer will debut on September 13, during the MTV Video Music Awards. That's okay. To quote anchorman Ron Burgundy, the "Twilight" series is "kind of a big deal."
So big in fact that Fandango users picked "New Moon" as their most anticipated fall movie. That probably seems pretty elementary to your average Twilighter, or if you're in any way aware of pop culture, but it's still impressive. A whopping 39% picked the second "Twilight" movie; "Avatar" trails behind it at only 23%. The numbers drop off even more after that, with the number three placeholder -- Roland Emmerich's "2012" -- taking only 16% of the votes. What's more, tickets to "New Moon" midnight screenings are already on sale for select theaters across the country. Hit the jump for the full text of the press release.
Carmike Cinemas has programmed The Twilight Saga: New Moon midnight show times for late Thursday night, November 19 at 63 of its venues in towns across the country, from Winston-Salem, North Carolina to West Jordan, Utah. Advance tickets for these select show times are now available on Fandango.
New Moon is the most anticipated movie of the fall season, according to an online poll on Fandango.com; scroll down below for results and for a link to our Fall Movie Guide.
