FROM MTV.COM: Following the success of this year's TwiCon convention devoted to Stephenie Meyer's vampire saga, Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the "Twilight" films, has launched its own series of official fan-focused events.
Partnering with Creation Entertainment, the studio will stage 20 events across North America over the next three years, according to a press release published on the fan site TwilightLexicon.com. The first convention took place last weekend in Phoenix. Events in the next few months will take place in New Jersey, Chicago and Vancouver, where the franchise's cast is currently gathered to shoot "Eclipse," the third film in the saga.
