We’ve all got our hopes and dreams, our non-negotiable demands and long-shot prayers for how the final season of “Lost” will shake out, what we’ll eventually learn for certain and what will be left hanging forever: which lovelorn castaways will end up together, where did the Smoke Monster come from and what exactly is the deal with Hurley’s cursed numbers?
Fans aren’t the only ones with specific ideas about how the show should/must/cannot wrap up. The Losties themselves have some thoughts too. That’s what MTV's Rick Marshall learned at San Diego Comic-Con when he chatted with Josh Holloway, who’s played an often shirtless Sawyer since 2004 and who knows exactly how he wants his character arc to conclude.
“I want to see him splat,” Holloway said. “He’s got to die, I would say.”
No happy ending for the Shirtless One?
“I don’t really see him integrating into society very well still, even though he’s grown somewhat as a person,” he said. “Since the death of Juliet ripped all the joy and humanity out of him again, he’ll probably be pretty salty. Just dramatically, I’ve always thought he should die.”
Check out the video to see when exactly Holloway thinks Sawyer should bite the dust and what sort of ending would leave him disappointed with “Lost.”
