If there's one thing cool about Comic-Con, it's the hugely eclectic group of celebrities that the event attracts. Case in point the stars of the upcoming animated comedy "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," the lovely Anna Faris, "SNL" star Andy Samberg and "Role Models" rookie Bobbe Thompson.

Dust off your rocker switches and joysticks, because Hollywood seems to be all about video games this week -- well, video games and comic books. Today's Dailies feature gaming's most famous vampire hunter, as well as plenty of news from Comic-Con, with "Roger Rabbit 2," "Alice in Wonderland," and much more.

-- James Wan, who helped launch the wonderful world of the "Saw" movies now gets to bring famous vampire hunter Simon Belmont to theaters, as he writers and directs a film version of the classic Konami video game "Castlevania." (Blood Disgusting)

-- Producer Lornezo di Bonaventura says his team has "crafted a really strong, deep mythology" for their film adaptation for the really classic video game "Asteroids." (IGN) Read more...

"Twilight" and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" successfully rocked Comic-Con today, as well as the Twitter-Wood feed. Burton brought special guest and Mad Hatter portrayer Johnny Depp on-stage as a surprise guest for his panel, which almost instantly turned him into a trending topic.

Everyone from "Twilight" actress Christian Serratos to John Lithgow was tweeting about their travels to the San Diego Convention Center, and plenty more were already embedded people-watching from showroom floor. One of the more interesting panels at Comic-Con this year not specifically geared to plug an upcoming movie was Entertainment Weekly’s forum discussing the role of female heroes in modern pop culture. Sigourney Weaver, Eliza Dushku, Zoe Saldana and Elizabeth Mitchell were seated on the dais before an enthusiastic standing room only crowd. It took about 20 minutes for someone onstage to realize Saldana's and Mitchell’s nameplates were misplaced.

Before Buffy slayed, Lara Croft raided and Starbuck, er… drank, Weaver was bitch-slapping Paul Reiser and basically inventing the archetype for ass-kicking women as Ridley in James Cameron's 1986 sci-fi action flick “Aliens.” Five years later, Cameron would release “T2: Judgment Day” featuring another female action hero. Sarah Connor, played by Linda Hamilton, paved the way for the modern-day heroine who can balance motherhood with her need to pound skulls and work out. Read more...

One of the most anticipated films of 2011 is "Tron Legacy," the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi movie "Tron." Disney didn't disappoint fans during their 3-D panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday.

Filmmakers and members of the cast, including Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn, introduced footage revealing that the story revolves around Kevin's son Sam.

"I go on search for my father and find myself in this crazy world," said actor Garrett Hedlund, who plays Sam Flynn.

What he finds is that the world of Tron has been sitting on a server and in that time has evolved on its own. "It's become darker and more realistic, feeling more like a photo surreal environment," director Joe Kosinski said. Read more...

Filmmaker Robert Zemeckis showed off Disney's new 3-D motion capture technology that will be used in November's release of "A Christmas Carol" starring Jim Carrey.

Everyone in the audience was given a pair of 3-D glasses as they entered Hall H, most of them coming from a long line in anticipation of the "New Moon" panel this afternoon.

Created as a motion capture animated feature, "A Christmas Carol" sees Jim Carrey playing eight roles, including the aged Ebenezer Scrooge and all three Ghosts of Christmas -- Past, Present and Future. Read more...

Did you hear? The "Tron" sequel has a title! It's "Tron Legacy." Good stuff, right? Better than "Tr2n," at any rate. Even if that number-letter fusion was the real title, I'd be psyched. "Tron" is one of my favorite Disney flicks, right up there with "Alice in Wonderland" and "Robin Hood." It's definitely my favorite live-action Disney.

Today's eBay Prop-Watch pick is not a prop, no sir. It's ten different kinds of awesome though, especially since you can actually play with the darn thing. Holly Montag has gone from Heidi's sister on "The Hills" to jewelry designer to... our new favorite film buff! It wasn't until Holly stopped by the MTV News offices earlier this week that we learned of her background. The elder Montag sister is a film school grad -- from a program made famous by avant-garde legend Stan Brakhage no less! -- who has a taste for Hitchcockian mystery and Jimmy Stewart.

"Hey, I went to film school," she revealed about her past to MTV's Jim Cantiello. "[My focuses were] critical studies and production. I double majored... well BFA and BA. I went to CU." (That's the University of Colorado, where the Montags are from.)

There you have it folks. Update your tags, file your wiki edits, earmark the change in your brains. It's not the "Tron" sequel anymore. Not "Tron 2." Certainly not lameass "Tr2n" (whew). It's "Tron Legacy." Bask in the joy of it all.
