San Diego Comic-Con has sadly preempted some of my daily features here on MTV Movies Blog (sorry Prop-Watch, Around the Blogosphere), but the avalanche of coverage makes this a good week to launch a new one. Every Friday, I'll be running through the preceding week's top stories (Friday through Friday, FYI) on MTV Movies Blog. As you might expect, a lot of the most clicked content for the week relates in some way to San Diego Comic-Con. Don't take my word for it though; let's let the list tell the tale.
Counting down of course...
#10 "Tron Legacy" Panel Report Fresh From San Diego Comic-Con -- Just as the title suggests, one of our writers on the ground at Comic-Con runs through the highlights of the "Tron Legacy" panel.
#9 "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" Could Still Get A John Williams Score -- An interesting bit of re-reporting based on comments from "Potter" producer David Heyman. They want Williams, Williams wants in, only scheduling stands in the way.
#8 EXCLUSIVE: Tim Burton Talks "9" And His Upcoming Comic-Con Adventure -- Do you know why Tim Burton hasn't been to Comic-Con in such a long time? You will after you read this story. He also shares some thoughts on Shane Acker's "9," the beautiful CG animated adventure that Burton produced with "Wanted" director Timur Bekmambetov.
#7 EXCLUSIVE JUDD APATOW BLOG: 'Funny People' Director Answers Questions You Haven't Asked -- All month, "Funny People" mastermind Judd Apatow has been writing in guest blog entries for MTV Movies Blog. Interestingly, it's his first post that's still popping the most. I guess you fans just love having your questions answered by the big man.
#6 EXCLUSIVE: "Ninja Assassin" Poster Debut Leaps Into Action -- Y'all know we debuted the trailer too, right? Yeah, we know you're watching. But you seem to love this poster. Tell me: it's that wicked-looking kusarigama, right?
#5 A New Merc And An Old Bounty Hunter In These Exclusive "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - Season Two" Images -- I'm happy to see that this bad boy breached the top five. Bossk (the lizard-looking bounty hunter seen in a background shot in "Empire Strikes Back") is going to be joining the cast of "Clone Wars" at some point during its second season. The other dude, a merc by the name of Cad Bane, looks cool... but BOSSK! Awesome.
#4 "Alice In Wonderland" Pics Surface Along With Trailer Details And An Official Synopsis -- Little did we know when these pictures surface how awesome the trailer would be. But I'm getting ahead of myself. Clearly you all want to see more "Alice." I'm with you. Bring it on, Burton!
#3 Sam Raimi For A "World Of Warcraft" Movie: A Big Mistake Or The Game Adaptation We've Been Waiting For -- I'm gratified that so many of you read (and commented on!) my opinions on Raimi getting the "Warcraft" adaptation. The more I think on it, the more on board I am with the idea. Raimi is great, "Warcraft" has a rich background and the two together could be movie magic.
#2 EXCLUSIVE: Tim Burton To Present Semi-Trailer For "Alice In Wonderland" At Comic-Con -- Once again, little did we know, right? An overly hasty web posting of the trailer may have pissed on his moment a little bit, but Burton revealed the "Alice" trailer at Comic-Con as planned and the collective "Wonderland"-loving nation went apes--t. Now how about that Caterpillar?
#1 "Alice In Wonderland" Teaser Gives A Generous Glimpse Of Tim Burton's Excellence -- This one's a bit of an oddity. It's our original "Alice" trailer post, which I ran when the trailer leaked (but before anyone realized that it was a leak). Apparently, you all were as excited as I was, since you kept reading even after the embed was pulled.
