One of the things that's been big on my mind since I started here at MTV has been figuring out ways to bring you readers into the editorial process. The weekly Box Office Poll has been picking up steam, but I know there's more I could be doing. Hell, you can share content with us at Your MTV -- text, photos AND video -- which I can then run on the blog!
So the big idea I've had is to integrate the weekly poll with Your MTV. This week's big ticket item is obviously "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." It would be great if some of you interested readers could sit down in front of a webcam and share your own thoughts on the movie. I'm fine with photos/text as well (though how a photo review might work is beyond me). Just tag whatever you post with "Review - Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince."
I'll take a look at what you give us and maybe highlight one or two of the videos in my poll round-up next week. This is an idea that's in its infancy, but I'm hoping it will develop naturally as y'all submit content. Just a reminder to those of you with Xbox Live Vision or PlayStation Eye cameras-- those are USB cams that work just fine as PC webcams. Ask Google; as always, the Internet will provide. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the movie!
