Greetings to you, my fellow "Harry Potter"-loving fanboys and girls. The big "Harry Potter" coverage will kick into high gear here on MTV next week, but even with a full week remaining before "Half-Blood Prince" hits theaters, excitement is reaching a fever pitch.
MovieTickets.com is reporting that more than 350 screenings are already sold out, including a whopping 216 midnight showings in the United States alone. "Potter" currently accounts for 61% of the website's ticket sales, ahead of "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs"' 10% and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"'s 5%. Even with all of that, "Potter" ranks third behind "Star Wars" (w00t!!) and "The Lord of the Rings" in the website's "greatest film franchise of all time" poll.
