Shia LaBeoufShia LaBeouf sat down with the BBC recently to promote next week's Michael Bay blockbuster "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The actor had some enlightening things to say about the giant robot spectacle. There was one comment in particular that kneejerk detractors of shallow action films should definitely take heed of: "This is escapism. This is a fun movie." (emphasis his) Damn straight, Shia. Damn straight.

The actor also had something to share about the next "Indiana Jones" movie. As you may remember, LaBeouf starred opposite Harrison Ford in 2008's "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." The short version: it's happening. Want to know more? Keep reading. Read More...

Friday The 13thWhen you've got a horror icon like Jason Voorhies and a sweeping technological sensation such as 3-D, it's only a matter of time before the two forces collide. Such a collision may be in the works for a prospective sequel to this year's "Friday the 13th" remake.

Collider recently got a chance to speak with producers Brad Fuller and Andrew Form on the set of their upcoming "Nightmare on Elm Street" reboot. The producers revealed that they were considering utilizing the in-your-face technology for another outing with the hockey mask-wearing villain -- but they had their doubts that a studio would back such an endeavor. Jackie Earle HaleyFROM SPLASH PAGE: Jackie Earle Haley has made quite the on-screen comeback starring as Rorschach in “Watchmen” and as Freddy Krueger in “Nightmare on Elm Street,” so it only makes sense to wonder — what’s he doing on television?

To be fair, Haley’s small screen arrival comes in the form of “Human Target,” the new Fox series based on the DC comic book. Still, as some see network television as less reputable than film work, Haley’s decision to star in the show might appear questionable. Apparently, it’s not a notion lost on the actor himself.

Megan FoxGet ready giant robot-loving fanpeeps. Michael Bay's highly anticipated "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" doesn't hit theaters until next week, but Variety has run the first official review. The verdict? Pretty much what you'd expect. Is that a bad thing? Nope... not at all.

The first comment out of the gate praises "Fallen" for the vastly improved visual effects over the first (and not bad-looking) "Transformers." Describing the viewing experience as Bay's "very own shock-and-awe campaign on the senses," the review goes on to explain that the human factor doesn't measure up, coming as it does "at the service of an enhanced arsenal of special effects." Maybe you were under the delusion that Paul Rudd was a nice, sweet guy. Perhaps you believed his roles as a lovable bro-next-door in “I Love You, Man” and “Role Models” represented the truth about the guy.

Or not. According to his “Year One” co-star David Cross, you were so totally mistaken! That’s what Movies Editor Josh Horowitz learned when he spoke with Cross over the weekend. The comedian revealed that Rudd is in fact an extremist conspiracy theory-believing, fireman-hating, global warming denier. Quel horror!

Of course, Cross—who as the Biblical Cain to Rudd’s Abel in “Year” bashes his brother’s face in—was joking around. Even when Cross is kidding about/trashing his Hollywood pals, he never fails to make us laugh. Check out the clip below to learn the ridiculous truth about his friendship with Rudd, what made Cross stab his buddy repeatedly after filming wrapped, and why Cross declared with a laugh, “I think all people are created equal—except Samoans!”

Natalie PortmanDarren Aronofsky has been lying low since all the critical acclaim heaped on him after "The Wrestler." He's just been quietly developing his "Robocop" reboot. The talented director also has another project up his sleeve, one that might just take flight before "Robocop" thanks to the addition of Natalie Portman. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Portman is attached to star in Aronofsky's next project, "Black Swan."

"Swan" is a supernatural thriller set in the New York City ballet. It follows a veteran ballerina (Portman) who finds herself in a tight competition with a rival dancer. With a big performance on the horizon, the rivalry between them becomes fierce and ugly. While that could be vicious enough territory for a film to explore, the ballerina must face an even more terrifying question: whether her rival is even real or just a delusion. A lot of comparisons to made here to "The Others," the Nicole Kidman ghost story where all was not as it seemed... but not before we all wept in terror. Well, at least I did. Read More...

Leonardo DiCaprioI feel like I write a Leonardo DiCaprio story every week here on the MTV Movies Blog. There doesn't seem to be a single movie in development that he's not attached to as an actor or a producer, and he has everything on his slate from live action anime adaptations ("Akira" may have died, but "Ninja Scroll" is still alive and well) to mobster thrillers. He is a busy, busy guy.

Now, the actor is set to explore the world of online poker in an untitled project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. DiCaprio and Paramount have picked up an untitled pitch from Brian Koppelman and David Levien. Leo star and produce via his Appian Way banner. Read More...
