Among other things, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" addresses gender roles as they relate to robotic alien societies. The Autobot character Arcee is hardly a new addition to the "Transformers" universe, but I'm curious to see how director Michael Bay treats her for this week's guaranteed summer hit.

I'm sure what you really want to know is what "Revenge of the Fallen" star Megan Fox thinks of the new female addition to the cast. MTV's Larry Carroll sure did. Fox maintains a carefully neutral tone in her response, which is probably for the best. Check it out in the clip below, then head over to MTV.com for a full look at our MTV Rough Cut: Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.

The Simpsons MovieWelcome to a new daily feature here on MTV Movies Blog, eBay Prop-Watch. Every day I will mine the depths of the Internet's go-to auction site for some funky, crazy or outright cool bit of film ephemera. You won't always be seeing actual props here (like today) nor will the picks necessarily be affordable to the common citizen (also like today), but I promise to always make it something to drop your jaws.

The first pick for the column is a reflection of my own tastes. I have been watching "The Simpsons" since the half-hour sitcom premiered back in 1989. I've seen every single episode of the TV series and quotes are a regular occurrence in my daily conversations. One of my frequently spouted words of wisdom -- and my friends can attest to this -- is that there's a "Simpsons" quote for every occasion. Before "The Simpsons Movie" even hit theaters in July 2007, I was beside myself. Why? Because of this... Read More...

Edward Cullen 'Twilight'FROM HOLLYWOOD CRUSH: In honor of the beloved vampire’s birthday on Saturday, June 20 (he’s turning 108 for those of you doing the math at home!), Hollywood Crush decided to enlist one of Edward Cullen’s biggest fans to write a post for us about why she loves the character so much. So, meet Kat, the power behind Edward Cullen Online. And after the jump, be sure to check out our special Edward Cullen flip book, which is filled with pictures of Bella’s beau in both “Twilight” and “New Moon.”

Hi! I’m Kat a British Twilighter and I run Edward Cullen Online. I took the site over recently but it’s been online for a while now. I am a HUGE “Twilight” addict and am building up my collection. So far I have the books, DVD, Edward poster, Rosalie’s necklace and Alice’s choker — both official movie replica jewelry, which I wear all the time.

Brad PittThose of you who are desperate for summer jobs, or are suffering the sting of a layoff, it might help you to know that not even a superstar like Brad Pitt is immune to unemployment woes. Pitt and director Steven Soderbergh were set to begin shooting "Moneyball" in Phoenix on Monday, but Sony has called a time out and put the film into limited turnaround.

"Moneyball" is based on Michael Lewis’ bestselling book of the same name, which profiled the Oakland A’s general manager, Billy Beane. That's a baseball team, by the way. Beane harnessed the power of computer-based analysis to assemble a crack squad out of one of the smallest budgets in major league baseball. Read More...

Transformers: Revenge of the FallenYes, yes... we get big explosions and giant fighting robots starting this Wednesday. First let's talk about last week. Your votes have been tallied, and most of you -- 34% to be precise -- picked "Year One," which flopped in at number four on the weekly charts with a $20 million box office take. What gives, people? Oh wait... I missed "Year One" too.

No, my $9.50 ticket price (thank you indie theater) instead contributed to the $27 million take for "The Hangover." The weekend's big box office winner was "The Proposal," which snagged 24% of your votes. I apparently misunderestimated the appeal of a Sandra Bullock/Ryan Reynolds-led rom-com. Also, I made up the word "misunderestimated." Okay, fine... it wasn't me. "Dead Snow" rounded out third place with 20%; I hope you 20-percenters enjoyed it. I can't wait. Read More...

First, a frightful(ly awesome) image to start your week with:

Alice in Wonderland

It's 4:30am as I write this, so forgive any ramblings. I just love MTV that much. The above pic comes from a USA Today first look feature for Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland."

Yes, that's Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. There's an equally terrifying shot of Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen of Hearts. There's also a look at Anne Hathaway as the White Queen and some delicious, Flash-powered concept art. Clearly, I'm not getting back to sleep anytime soon. You won't see this until 9am though. Enjoy your week all... sweet dreams!

The Proposal Ryan Reynolds
1. "The Proposal" ($34.1 million)
2. "The Hangover" ($26.8 million)
4. "Up" ($21.3 million)
3. "Year One" ($20 million)
5. "The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3" ($11.3 million)

As the weekend progresses, audiences continue to fall hard for "The Proposal," which stayed strong at #1 by bringing in $34.1 million, finally knocking "The Hangover" down from its two week reign at the top. After weeks of explosions and CG, people were clearly in the mood for a little love... and perhaps all the pre-release publicity that focused on the nude scene between "Proposal" stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds helped a little. Roland KickingerFROM SPLASH PAGE: Last week, the new "Conan" found its director in the gore-happy Marcus Nispel ("Friday the 13th"). The hunt was on for the man to wield the broadsword, and Lionsgate was said to be on the lookout for an unknown to play the iconic part. The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that they may have found him .... and he's a dead ringer for cinema's first Conan, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Austrian actor Roland Kickinger is currently in talks to star in the remake, and is not only a physical match for the original "Conan the Barbarian" actor, but he shares a similar biography. He's a body-builder turned actor, and he had a role as a T-800 in this summer's "Terminator: Salvation." He also played Ah-nuld in "See Arnold Run," an A&E biopic about the Schwarzenegger's run for the California governor's office.

For more on the potential new "Conan" lead, Roland Kickinger, head over to SplashPage.MTV.com.
