If somebody asked what one thing was missing from the "Harry Potter" movies, how would you answer? Think about it for a minute. One thing, anything at all, that could have made each and every "Potter" flick a better movie. I know what it is.
Knives. A wall full of 'em. Different shapes and sizes, all of them sharp, all of them deadly. "Harry Potter" may not have been a better place with so many cutting tools, but it would have been a whole lot cooler. Wondering what the hell I mean yet?
"Harry Potter" star Rupert Grint is in director Jonathan Lynn's "Wild Target," playing an assassin's apprentice. If you're wondering where the knives come in, keeping reading for a first glimpse of the film.

And there you have it. Rupert Grint and lots and lots of knives on a wall. Here's the official synopsis for "Wild Target," which premiered just a few weeks ago at the Cannes International Film Festival:
Bill Nighy is Victor Maynard, a middle-aged, solitary assassin, who lives to please his formidable mother, Louisa (Eileen Atkins), despite his own peerless reputation for lethal efficiency. His professional routine is interrupted when he finds himself drawn to one of his intended victims, Rose (Emily Blunt). He spares her life, unexpectedly acquiring a young orphan apprentice in the process, Tony (Rupert Grint). Believing Victor to be a private detective, his two new companions tag along, while he attempts to thwart the murderous attentions of his unhappy client (Rupert Everett).
The movie opens wide this September. I can't wait.
Rupert Grint as an assassin's apprentice? Bumbling wizard to bumbling killer. Can you dig it?
