I went out to Burbank today to watch Tim Kash interview Mario Lopez. We met him at Gio's Boxing Gym, where he was about to work out. It was nice getting to see Tim interview. He kept his composure even as Mario was throwing a few practice punches. Mario had a lot of energy and was constantly on the move. I even got my chance to step in the ring and ask him a couple questions.

I'm definitely no Muhammad Ali. Read more...

Putting on a show as big as the MTV Movie Awards is an ultra-complex process, and one of the most important parts is the building of the set. Without that, there's no show, and this year MTV has ramped up the design to a colossal level. We're talking giant video streams, 20-foot tall statues and more flashing lights than you could shake a stick at.

We thought it'd be interesting to follow the set building, so we installed a time-lapse camera to capture the action. Check it out below, and then see the full set when the Movie Awards air this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.

Sure, "Twilight" had its fill of romance and intrigue, but it also had another important ingredient...fights! And nothing delivered the brawls more than the climactic battle between Robert Pattinson's Edward and Cam Gigandet's James. As it now finds itself nominated for a Best Fight trophy at the MTV Movie Awards this Sunday, we hit up director Catherine Hardwicke for her thoughts on the matter.

In the video after the jump, you'll see Hardwicke breaking down the fight from it's very infancy (discussing how much training RPattz and Cam did) to the completion, and how she went farther and deeper than the book. Check it out, and then click here to watch the rest of our interview with Catherine Hardwicke over on MTV.com. Read more...

LOS ANGELES — It’s MTV Movie Awards week, and that means everyone is ready to get their groove on in preparation for the big show at the Gibson Amphitheatre. So, to get in on the action, MTV News’ resident cool cats Tim Kash and Sway combined their forces and threw a little party — well, maybe not that little!

For the bash, they brought in cool artists like Brooklyn own’s Kudu, who hit the stage along with Wale, Tyga and Mickey Factz at the Stone Rose Lounge in the Sofitel hotel in the always-swanky locale of Beverly Hills. Read more...

I am amazed at how down-to-earth Keke Palmer is. She is only 15 and has already won the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Motion Picture, and her Nickelodeon series "True Jackson, V.P." is one of the most popular shows on Nickelodeon. And those are only a few of her accomplishments!

The superstar is also going to walk the Movie Awards red carpet, and I got to stop in while she picked her outfit. Read more...

Way back in 2005, before Twitter and "Twilight" changed the face of civilization, Jimmy Fallon took the stage as host of the MTV Movie Awards. Little did he know that he'd soon create a comedy superstar. You see, MTV had brought in none other than a little-known comedian named Andy Samberg to join the show's writing team. And it was backstage that Fallon ran into Samberg, and liked him so much that he soon introduced him to "Saturday Night Live" executive producer Lorne Michaels...and the rest is history.

Check out this interesting story straight from the mouth of Samberg in the video below, and then click here to watch more Movie Award Confidentials.

At this point, only one day before the big show, generally every one of the celebrity presenters is known. That's usually how it goes.

Frankie Delgado snagged himself the awesome job of being one of MTV News' correspondents for the MTV Movie Awards, and with the show just days away, he headed over to the Armani Exchange store in Los Angeles along with celebrity stylist Wouri Vice to check out possible red-carpet looks.

Like Lo Bosworth, he tried on many looks and had a hard time deciding how to nail the casual-but-not-too-casual look that works best for a show like the MTV Movie Awards. Read more...

Nowadays Paris Hilton is a fine upstanding citizen, but back in 2007 she was a lawbreaker on her way to the clink. It was at the height of her paparazzi popularity when a judge ruled that Paris had violated her terms of probation stemming from a DUI-fueled reckless driving case. Hounded by cameras, Paris (rightly) feared that her trip to jail would become tabloid fodder, so she concocted the ultimate slip.

Everyone was surprised when Paris showed up at the 2007 Movie Awards, walking the carpet and sitting in the audience exposing her to considerable ridicule from host Sarah Silverman. Why would she endure this all? To slip out the back halfway through the show, and make her way to lock-up with no one the wiser. Watch Paris' MTV Movie Awards tale below, and click here to see more Movie Awards Confidentials.
