You Can't Stand On The Red Carpet At The 2009 MTV Movie Awards, But You Can Watch It LIVE!

You lucky, lucky MTV viewers. Living in the future -- yes, that's where we are right now -- comes with all sorts of perks. One of those perks is streaming video. More importantly, LIVE streaming video. And since the red carpet at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards is a bit too small to accommodate all of you, I'm here to offer you the next best thing.

Thanks to the power of the Internet, we will be beaming LIVE footage from the red carpet outside the Movie Awards ceremony directly into your computer box of choice. The stream is actually live and well right now, though there's not too much going on just yet. Then again, you never know who might pop their head in as the show draws nearer. Just make sure to flip your television over to MTV at 9pm EST this Sunday night. And remember, there's still time to cast your vote!

MTV News welcomes Shelly Morrison as our official Movie Awards Insider for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. From now until the big show on Sunday, Shelly will be mixing it up with the hottest celebrities and taking you behind closed doors for one of Hollywood's biggest events.

My sister Kim and I arrived in Los Angeles on Wednesday morning, and after checking into the hotel, we headed over to the Universal Studios theme park. Right as we finished the studio tour, I got a call from MTV asking if I wanted to come over and meet the MTV News crew and production team, and maybe even start shooting. Little did I know that I was in for a huge treat. I got to try my hand in front of the camera.

It took a little time to get used to the camera, but once I got the hang of it, things seemed to go fairly well. I also had the opportunity to hang out with MTV News Anchor Tim Kash and see behind the scenes at the Gibson Amphitheatre, where the main show will take place on Sunday. Read More...

That was the case when our guest host Lo Bosworth, from "The Hills," sat down with "Drag Me To Hell" star Justin Long, a past Movie Awards presenter.

Seann William Scott And Adam Brody Join Kevin Smith's 'A Couple Of Dicks'

The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop that the "Role Models" actor and the former "The O.C." star have both signed on for Kevin Smith's latest project, "A Couple of Dicks." The film, which begins shooting on Monday, is a buddy cop action-comedy starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as two detectives trying to track down a valuable stolen baseball card. See that little Flash critter down there? It's hard to miss if your a Twilighter, what with the big "New Moon" poster plastered on it. That is your handy-dandy official 2009 MTV Movie Awards countdown widget. I'll give you one guess what that timer is ticking off the hours to. What's more, at the stroke of 9pm EST on Sunday, the widget will magically turn itself into a video window which is hooked in to stream the Movie Awards show direct. It's like "Cinderella" but earlier. And without the pumpkin.

As two of our MTV Movie Awards weekend guest hosts, "Hills" stars Stephanie Pratt and Frankie Delgado hit the Gibson Amphitheatre in search of seating placements for the big show. And nothing stood out more than the plush chairs that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will soon be occupying. Backstage At The MTV Movie Awards Is Pretty Much What You'd Expect: Controlled Chaos

FROM MTV.COM: Every year, an inanimate (but vital) element of the MTV Movie Awards makes its debut: the stage. This year, it's a combination of lights, screens and statues that all hold little surprises to keep the audience interested.

"Inspiration varies year by year, whatever is in the air," set designer Anton Goss told MTV News while the set was still being pieced together in the Gibson Amphitheatre. "It's different and creative in that way."

It’s a question that has plagued TV-lovers for generations: what happens to all those canceled TV shows and their beloved characters when they vanish into pop culture oblivion? These days, they’re either relegated to DVD box sets or -- if they’re lucky -- they move on up to the big screen. To see a show that you’ve loved and lost make it to into movie form is pretty much every fan’s dream. So long as it's done right.

I get why fans of the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" TV series have been up in arms since news broke that the franchise will make its way to theaters without the help of show creator Josh Weldon.
