MTV News welcomes Shelly Morrison as our official Movie Awards Insider for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. From now until the big show on Sunday, Shelly will be mixing it up with the hottest celebrities and taking you behind closed doors for one of Hollywood's biggest events.
Yesterday, I got to tag along on a shoot Tim Kash was doing with Mario Lopez. We met him out in Burbank at Gio's Boxing Gym.
I watched Tim in action as he interviewed Mario. While they were filming, I heard my name being called. I turn around, and who do I see? None other than the twins I interviewed while trying out interview tips Charlyne Yi taught me. So random! They told me they would watch for me on the red carpet. I guess I can count them as my first fan encounter.
Anyway, once Tim and Mario finished up the interview and climbed out of the ring, I was on. I asked Mario a few questions and he tried to show me how to fight my way through the red carpet. Too bad I happen to be uncoordinated.
He even said he'd stop for me on the red carpet. Check back tonight to see if he comes through!
