An annual ritual occurred today at Universal’s Gibson Amphitheatre, as we continued the countdown to Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards: The placing of the seat cards. Accordingly, Frankie Delgado and Stephanie Pratt from "The Hills" were in the house, eager to check out their placement – as well as that of all the other major stars.
"At the Movie Awards, there is assigned seating," grinned Frankie, one of one of our MTV Movie Awards weekend guest hosts. "I'm next to my buddy Brody Jenner. But I think I'm gonna look for a better seat!"
As Frankie wandered among the sea of white cardboard placards – each bearing a photo and the name of a star – several potential storylines emerged:
- Paris Hilton is sitting next to Eminem. Based on their notorious histories of pressing other people's buttons, will the two superstars get along?
- Lil Wayne (whose card had a shirtless photo of him looking intense) is sitting next to Miley Cyrus. What could those two possibly talk about during commercial breaks?
- Coolest pairing? My money is on Anna Faris and Taylor Lautner – both super-cool celebs, something tells me they’d have some fun conversations.
- King and Queen of the ball? Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have the best seats in the house, right near the front in the center. My, how far the "Twilight" stars have come.
- There’s Something About the Movie Awards? Ben Stiller and Cameron Diaz will be sitting side-by-side, perhaps so they can brainstorm ideas for a “There’s Something About Mary” sequel. Three words: More hair gel!
- “Twilight” stars Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are sitting next to Sandra Bullock. Maybe they’ll pitch her on an “Eclipse” cameo?
- Other front-row stars include Sienna Miller, Shia LaBeouf, Jim Carrey, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
But for Frankie, there was only one star that made him want to leave his place in the section occupied by “Hills” co-stars Brody, Holly Montag, Stephanie Pratt, Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth.
“I want to sit next to Megan Fox,” he smiled, cuddling up to her cardboard facsimile. “I’m your date tonight!”
