Jamie Foxx Says Michael Mann's 'Damage Control' Is On Its Way

Jamie FoxxIt’s been nearly three years since Jamie Foxx and Michael Mann last collaborated on “Miami Vice” and just as long since the pair announced plans for a fourth team-up. Now Foxx has confirmed with MTV News that their “Damage Control” is still on the way.

The film is planned as a sports drama, focusing on Foxx as a professional publicist/spin doctor who represents troubled players. With steroid abuse a major part of today’s headlines, Foxx believes that there’s no better time to get “Damage Control” to the big screen. Read More...

50 Cent, Chace Crawford And Emma Roberts Join 'Twelve'

50 CentEvery Joel Schumacher film starts as an uphill battle just by virtue of its director's shaky record -- but he'll have some help on this one from a very diverse cast, and a well-reviewed novel. According to Variety, Schumacher will be directing an adaptation of Nick McDonell's debut novel "Twelve," starring Kiefer Sutherland, Chace Crawford, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, Emma Roberts, and Ellen Barkin.

"Twelve" centers on a high school drop out named White Mike (who we're guessing is played by Crawford) who deals pot and an Ecstasy-like upper called "twelve" to Manhattan's young and rich. Mike avoids touching the stuff, preferring instead to observe the privileged individuals who buy it. But his easy profits go sour when his dealer's cousin is brutally murdered and his best friend is arrested for the crime.The story takes place over a dizzying and decadent five days, and ends as badly as all drug themed stories do. 'Dragonball Evolution'FROM SPLASH PAGE: From the costumes to the hairdos to the chosen storyline itself, “Dragonball Evolution” may not be the “Dragonball” movie that some fans are expecting, and the film’s director and stars say they're well aware they can't please everyone -- but that doesn't mean they won't try.

MTV News spoke with the the people behind the film and in front of the camera to get a roundup of the differences fans can expect to see between the live-action film, the various "Dragonball" anime series and the original manga that started it all.

I’ve gotta say: I’m pretty impressed. As much as we all love to talk about Rob around these parts, the fact is that little is known about his actual acting talents. He was fine in the “Harry Potter” films, and obviously got the job done in “Twilight,” but until an actor has the chance to show off some versatility, it’s hard to speculate on his long-term prospects. Cuba Gooding Jr. Joining Method Man For George Lucas WWII Epic 'Red Tails'

Cuba Gooding Jr.George Lucas is finally realizing his decades-long dream of producing a film about the Tuskegee Airmen, and the wildly unique cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr. and Method Man. The Anthony Hemingway-directed flick "Red Tails" has popped up from time to time for Lucas in interviews, but an announcement today indicates that he has his actors and they're ready to suit up and start production.

“I’ve been wanting to do 'Red Tails' for 20 years, and we’ve finally got the means to showcase the skill of the Tuskegee pilots,” Lucas said in the press release. “We’re working on techniques which will give us the first true look at the aerial dogfighting of the era. And our top-notch cast will really make this story special.” Read More...

EXCLUSIVE: Zack Snyder Reveals Setting & Story Details For '300’ Sequel

'300'FROM SPLASH PAGE: Three years ago, “300” Spartans dined in hell -- and judging by the more than $200 million the film grossed domestically, a lot of fans found their meal to be quite delicious. But -- spoiler alert! -- since almost everyone died at the end, can there ever be a sequel? And if so, would director Zack Snyder be interested in getting behind the camera?

With one simple word, Snyder addressed all of the above: “Sure,” he grinned.

About a year ago, news broke that Frank Miller was developing a “300” quasi-sequel. Snyder, who was in Las Vegas this week to pick up a Director of the Year award at ShoWest, revealed that he has indeed heard Miller’s idea for a graphic novel about the events that followed the key battle of “300” -- and he likes it.

Will Rick Moranis Return To Hollywood For 'Ghostbusters III'?

Rick MoranisLast month, Harold Ramis told MTV that the old crew from "Ghostbusters" has been abuzz with plans to reunite for a long-awaited third movie. Sigourney Weaver said she would be ready to return, and Bill Murray suggested bringing on a new female Ghostbuster. Now, in addition to provoking hopes for the film, Ramis' words are sparking unexpected predictions that the original cast members from the first two movies will be on board -- including mostly-retired actor Rick Moranis.

"Everybody said they'd do it," Ramis told Entertainment Weekly, who listed Moranis alongside Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Bill Murray as locks come back "They’ll be looking at younger actors [for the lead roles], I’m sure. But we’ll be in it as mentors or advisers." Read More...

'Terminator Salvation' Trading Cards Reveal New Images

It's only been a week since we gave you a first look at the "Star Trek" movie trading cards, and now we've got another reveal: cards for the hotly-anticipated "Terminator Salvation."

Like the "Star Trek" line, these cards -- out two weeks prior to the film's April 21 opening -- feature images on each face, including some never before seen shots. We get an up close look at the T-700 and the T-1, as well as dozens of sketches for the various machines (including the large mech-like robots). 'G.I. Joe' Star Channing Tatum Wanted Snake Eyes Role, Says Film Is 75% VFX

Channing TatumThough he stars as Duke in this summer’s “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”, Channing Tatum chatted with MTV News about how which other “Joe” role was his first choice and what it’s like working on such a major blockbuster.

“I wanted to play Snake Eyes,” laughed Tatum, who was promoting his upcoming film “Fighting.” “I wanted so badly to play Snake Eyes.”

That’s the role that, ultimately, went to Ray Park, but Tatum says that Snake Eyes remains the coolest of the Joes simply because he never says word, a demand that the film’s creative consultant (and writer of the 80’s Marvel “Joe” comics) Larry Hama demanded resolutely. Read More...

Jackie Earle Haley To Play Freddy Krueger In 'Nightmare' Reboot

Jackie Earle HaleyIf you were ever skeptical about New Line remaking the classic horror film "Nightmare on Elm Street," your fears may be relieved by who they have cast to wield Freddy's finger knives. According to Variety, New Line has cast Jackie Earle Haley as the iconic slasher, Freddy Krueger.

Haley's name was on the wish list of many fans (including our own Larry Carroll), and the "Watchmen" actor even teased us with the possibility. "“I just have to say I have no idea; I’m so busy trying to still reconcile Rorschach. I’m curious about [‘Nightmare’], but I don’t know.” Read More...
