FROM SPLASH PAGE: Just when you thought it was dead -- or at least a long ways away -- the long-awaited "Sin City 2” has reared its ugly head. But if you believe this latest rumor, the rough-and-gruff tough-guy ensemble is about to get a whole lot prettier.
Clint Morris at Moviehole reports that "Wanted" star Angelina Jolie is in "serious talks" to star in "Sin City 2." Morris says, according to a "high-profile producer friend," that the filmmakers are actively trying to get the actress to commit to the "Sin City" sequel.

While promoting his turn as L.A. Times Columnist Steve Lopez in April 24th’s “The Soloist,” Robert Downey Jr revealed that he’s already making long term plans for a sequel to the upcoming “Sherlock Holmes”.
“I feel like there’s going to be a ‘Sherlock Holmes 2,’” says Downey, obviously quite pleased with his experiences during production. Not long ago, Downey spoke to MTV News directly from the set where the general vibe looked like a lot of fun.)
Downey also revealed that it was his own wish that the film not delve too deeply into Holmes’ addiction to opium, keeping the overall tone fairly family friendly. Read more...

Miley Cyrus and her dad, Billy Ray, might be cool with starring together on the big screen in "Hannah Montana: The Movie," but don't expect Miley to start busting out a new millennium version of her dad's '90s classic, "Achy Breaky Heart," anytime soon.
"I think both me and my dad have both heard that song enough," she told MTV News. "He's the one and only. I don't want anyone ever to cut it, really, because he's the one and only guy that could do it, I think."
Billy Ray doesn't seem to mind Miley's hesitance to sing his song — in fact, he doesn't think she should sing it either. "It's gotten plenty enough laughs as it is," he said.

Louis Leterrier's "Clash of the Titans" remake is quickly coming together, and the director has mimicked the 1981 original by recruiting the best of Britain and Ireland to reside in Mount Olympus. According to Variety, Ralph Fiennes is set to play Hades, the God of the Underworld, and Liam Neeson will be flinging lightning bolts as the top god Zeus -- a role played by Sir Laurence Olivier in the original film.
Fiennes and Neeson join Sam Worthington (Perseus), Gemma Arterton, Mads Mikkelsen, Alexa Davalos in Leterrier's retelling of the Greek myth. The director is already departing from both versions of the story by giving a big part to Hades, and by adding Mikkelsen's character Draco, head of the Praetorian Guard. Read more...

Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson's hotness levels on a scale of 1-10 are pretty even at about 15.2. I'm not a big fan of hotness comparisons, especially when dealing with these two actors, but RPattz's transition on the big screen from swoon-worthy vampire with the perfectly messy hair to a haughty painter with a curlicue mustache in "Little Ashes" reminded me of Leo's first post-Titanic career move.
We all remember him as dreamy Jack Dawson, and we all cried when he let go of Kate Winslet's hand and sank deeper into the ocean. Most of all, I'm sure you remember buying every biography about him, going to see "Titanic" five more times in the theater and then eagerly buying the VHS. Sound familiar, Twilighters?
I was 11 years old when "Titanic" was released, and sadly, I've found that I have not grown up one bit as I swoon over RPattz with the same intensity (my co-workers and anyone who passes by my desk can vouch for this). Read more...

Michael Caine has a rich résumé of roles as characters you don't want to mess with, including Bruce Wayne's softspoken butler Alfred in "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight," as well as his upcoming vigilante film "Harry Brown." Caine made a name for himself just as the "James Bond" movie franchise was getting on its feet, however, as Harry Palmer, a Cold War-era secret agent in five different films based novels by Len Deighton. Caine thinks now would be a perfect time to revive the franchise, and he knows exactly who he wants he successor to be.
"I’m too decrepid to play [Harry Palmer]," Caine told MTV News. "I could play an old villain. I might sit there with a Siamese cat or something."
As an alternative, Caine suggested a more youthful actor who was mentioned as a contender to follow Pierce Brosnan as James Bond. Read more...

In today's edition of "Robert Pattinson Makes Us Swoon," we here at MTV News have gotten our pretty little hands on an exclusive photo of Robert Pattinson from his photo shoot for Dossier, a bi-annual arts and culture journal.
In the exclusive photo, which doesn't appear in the magazine's spread, the "Twilight" star is clad in a tight white tank and tight jeans, smoldering in the way only he can. Let's not forget the fact that his signature hair is looking very bed-head messy and particularly Edward Cullen-like. Read more...

"Shadow of the Colossus" stunned eye-candy-loving gamers when in launched for the Playstation 2 in 2005. Now, the modern-day merging of classic gameplay elements with highly ambitious in-game cinematics and stylized environments is officially in line to join "Tomb Raider," "Gears of War" and "Street Fighter" among Hollywood's big-screen game adaptations.
Kevin Misher, who produced the "The Scorpion King" and is currently attached to Peter Berg's "Dune," will produce the "Shadow of the Colossus" for Sony, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
