You’re either reading about her recently-released film or about prior commitments causing her to drop out of "Iron Man 2” for Gulliver’s Travels. It just seems like Emily Blunt is hot news even for movies she won’t be in. However, now comes news that the actress, along with Jonah Hill, will star alongside Russell Brand in the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” follow-up, “Get Him To The Greek.”
According to Moviehole, Blunt will be playing a pop musician who “may duet” with the British comedian in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy.
We already got word that Jason Segel is writing songs for the sequel and have been enjoying Russell Brand’s hilarious music talent. So don’t be too surprised if this rumored duet isn’t a BIG hit. But what can we expect from the return of recovering-drug-addict-British-rock-star, Aldous Snow?
When we last left drug-clean Aldous in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” the bloke was ditching Hawaii for England…without his co-star love, Miss Marshall. This time around Brand tells the source, “I play Aldous Snow again but Aldous Snow back on drugs.” He goes on about his character with Hill’s, saying, “It’s a two-hander with Jonah Hill. Jonah’s character has to get Aldous from London to Los Angeles to perform a gig. Aldous is a crazed drug addict and a handful.”
While a handful even in our MTV building, Brand is sure to make “Get Him To The Greek” a hit with his newly signed female co-star. He already lost out to Sarah Marshall before…could this be a chance for Aldous Snow to find true love? I’d like to think so.
What do you think chaps? Are you looking forward to Brand’s return as rocker Aldous Snow? And what do you think of Emily Blunt’s casting…co-star or love interest? Chime away below!
