Russell Brand was in true form on an elevator ride discussing his upcoming "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" sequel "Get Him to the Greek." The free-speaking Brit bit his tongue when it came to revealing cast additions, but he did confirm a few returning actors and revealed one noteworthy detail about Jason Segel's contributions.
“Jason Segel’s writing some songs for it,” Brand told MTV News. "Jason’s written some songs for [Brand's character] Aldous Snow to sing."
Just what will Snow be singing about? Brand offered a quick overview of his predicament in the film.
"In this film, 'Get Him to the Greek,' Aldous Snow travels from London to perform a gig in Los Angeles, but he’s gone back on crack and heroine, so it makes him difficult to look after," the actor explained. "Like a lot of drug addicts, he’s a pain in the ass.”
As for the cast accompanying him back to the "Sarah Marshall" universe, Brand confirmed that Jonah Hill will also be making a second appearance. A few new faces may be showing up as well.
"Yeah, there are," Brand acknowledged, nodding that some big-name mystery stars will be joining the film. "Really famous ones – but I’m not allowed to say yet because I always blurt things out too quickly."
