When you think of macho, macho men, you probably think of Sly Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the 300 Spartans, or the Greatest Badass of All, Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry. You may have to redefine that list after seeing the upcoming "Hi-T" and add a man named Steve Carell.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carell is set to produce and star in "Hi-T," a Warner Bros. comedy that's all about masculinity. Carell will play a man who begins taking testosterone injections after an injury leaves him unable to produce it. (If you remember your biology class, you'll remember where testosterone is produced -- so expect a crotch shot of epic proportions.)
The injections causes uncontrollable mood swings, so expect lots of shouting, anger, and weeping in the finest Carell style. Hopefully, this will also cause him to develop the physique of Jason Statham.
He might even have time to develop a Men's Health body for real. It has a script by Kim Barker ("License to Wed") and a gang of producers, but it does not yet have a director. Carell is also still weighing all his film options for his May hiatus from "The Office." He has a lot to pick from, including a "Get Smart" sequel
Well, readers -- do you buy Carell as a macho man? Could he give Dirty Harry a rival for his money, and force us to name a new badass?
