You can't help but be a little skeptical every time you read about a new Robert Rodriguez movie. The "Planet Terror" director has been attached to everything from a Barbarella remake to a live-action Jetsons movie, all while promising us Rose McGowan as "Red Sonja." (We've got the t-shirt and the poster -- where's the movie?) But according to Variety, he's just signed on to returning to his usual haunt of Dimension Films to direct a sci-fi thriller called "Nerverackers."
Written by Rodriguez, the thriller is set in 2085 and centers on a character named Joe Tezca, a member of an elite unit dispatched to quell a crime wave occuring in what is supposed to be a utopian and perfect society.
"Nerverackers" already has a release date of April 16, 2010 -- so presumably this is one Rodriguez film we will actually see completed and in theaters. As we wait, we can ponder whatever became of "Red Sonja."
MTV readers, which movie on Robert Rodriguez's slate do YOU want to see him complete? Do you think we'll see Rose McGowan in "Nerverackers"?
