"Sex and the City" is more or less all set to return to the big screen for a sequel, E! News is reporting. "Everything was finalized yesterday afternoon," a source told the Web site. And that everything includes all four ladies: Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristin Davis.
Also reportedly on board is writer/ director Michael Patrick King, who has yet to write a script. But shooting will reportedly begin this summer with a release date sometime in summer 2010. Reps for the actresses and the studio have yet to comment on the news.
Back in January, "SATC" stylist Patricia Field had more or less confirmed the sequel to MTV News. "I do believe it will happen, because Michael Patrick King himself told me it's gonna happen," she said while doing press for her latest creative endeavor, "Confessions of a Shopaholic." "But I haven't really received any official information yet.
"When we went back to do the [first] movie, it was exciting," she said. "After doing the show for six years and then having a break for about four years, when everybody came back together, it was a family reunion."
Well, with a family as glamorous as this one, there should be more reunions!
