This past week, we asked you to think of some false and funny “New Moon” casting tales that could top our list of insane rumors. Props to all you fans who commented, because your posts were creative and way out of the realm of possibility – which made them even funnier!
In fact, we want to dedicate this blog post to all of you Twilighters who came up with the best casting rumors. Enjoy! Read more...
We got our first look at "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" with the trailer, and your second look with our exclusive set visit, and now the trifecta is completed with a brand new featurette that shows a veritable ton of never before seen footage from the sixth film in the blockbuster franchise.
Take a gander at the video below (or click here for HD) for new scenes of Dumbledore being a badass, Voldemort looking scary and a glimpse into Ron's love life. "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" hits theaters July 17.
FROM SPLASH PAGE: Recently, we conducted the first interview with the incomparable Seth Rogen following his announcement that visionary director Michel Gondry would be directing him in the soon-to-shoot movie reimagining of “The Green Hornet.” But we were really intrigued when he revealed that the “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” director had already filmed a key action scene on his own dime.
“To convince the studio to let him do it, he filmed a fight scene on his own," Rogen told us. "He just hired stunt men and did it by himself! Just to show some of the stuff he could do, some of the weird filming techniques he has and some of the stuff he can pull off. I mean, this is something he did in two days and it was instantly unlike anything you've ever seen before.”

Did you know that "Twilight" hasn't premiered in Japan yet? In fact, the film won't hit theaters until April 4th, which is after the DVD release here in the United States! Can you imagine being the last country to receive the film, having to wait almost 5 extra months to experience Bella and Edward's on-screen chemistry?
Oh! The! Agony!
Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner traveled to Japan to promote "Twilight" -- not that it needs promotion these days, but Twilighters are Twilighters, and it's only fair that those in Japan get their chance to see the stars in person. (Check out photos after the jump, and then take a look at the entire Japanese "Twilight" event photo gallery here.) Read more...
Now that Danny Boyle is an Oscar winner for his work on “Slumdog Millionaire,” it seems everybody is wondering: just what in the heck is the famed director going to do next? Don’t worry. Danny Boyle himself is wondering the exact same thing.
“I don’t know actually. I was involved in an animated film. I was going to make an animated film, but it’s all sort of fallen apart for me, so I don’t have anything. I tend to do one thing at a time,” Boyle told MTV News. “I wish I knew.”
Boyle had previously been attached to an adaptation of “Solomon Grundy,” which he revealed was shelved temporarily due to perceived similarities with “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. There’s also the slight chance he might return to the director’s chair for the second sequel to his 2002 hit “28 Days Later.” Read more...
So what are you up to today? Oh wait, I know, playing hooky in honor of the "Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience" movie! Not that I encourage that kind of behavior, but let's be honest, some things are too good to wait for. To celebrate the release of the movie finally, here is a rather fantastic clip from the performance of fan-favorite "Burnin' Up."
In the clip, check out fancy footwork from the Jonas trio of Kevin, Nick and Joe, as fans cheer and scream and sing along in the audience. How much fun are these guys having up there on stage? You can actually tell how much they love what they do, and how much they appreciate you as you sing along from the front (or back) row of the show. So enjoy!
After Mark Wahlberg scared and confused us by going after Andy Samberg on SNL (Was he kidding? Was he serious?), the general consensus seemed to be that Wahlberg really needed to lighten up. Maybe he should do a comedy or something. Well, he took our advice. According to Variety, Wahlberg and Will Ferrell are teaming up for "The B Team."
The film is just a spec script on the horizon, and is being penned by Adam McKay and Chris Henchy. All we know is that it's an action-comedy, and Wahlberg and Farrell will play cops. Will Wahlberg play the straight man to Ferrell? Or will he pull out some of that "Say hello to your mother for me" charm? Read more...
It looks like Hugh Jackman and his Oscar top hat were right -- the musical IS back. Variety reports that Jake Gyllenhaal and Jim Carrey are going to take Jackman at his word, and star in a remake of "Damn Yankees." It will be the first musical for both actors and yes, they will sing.
"Damn Yankees" will be a contemporary version of the 1955 musical, but will stick closely to the same story of Joe Boyd, a happily married man who suffers from a lifelong devotion to a losing baseball team. One night, Joe meets the Devil, who convinces him to sell his soul and become Joe Hardy, the all-star slugger the team is desperate for. Boyd can escape the deal, as long as he does it before the World Series -- but to keep him tempted, the Devil hires the gorgeous Lola to seduce him. Read more...
And the big 'Twilight' rumor of the day is...?
Nary a day goes by these days without some big 'Twilight' news, whether it's bogus Madonna rumors or Robert Pattinson hitting the Oscars red carpet.
Well today the news involves 'Eclipse' and the search for a director. According to Entertainment Weekly, Summit is in talks with a small group of potential directors to helm the third installment in the franchise, including none other than Drew Barrymore.
Now there's a name that's seemingly out of nowhere, isn't it? Or is it? Read more...
FROM SPLASH PAGE: What do "Batman," "Superman," "Akira," "Hellboy," "The Hulk," "Iron Man," "The Punisher," "Spider-Man," "The Spirit," "Dragonball," "Wanted," "X-Men" and "Watchmen" all have in common? Easy!
It's no secret that the comic-to-movie translation can be hit or miss. On one hand, you have someone like the Punisher — one of the most intense, complex and dark characters ever created in the comic book universe — so you would have thought his story and swagger alone would be enough to make a great action movie with maybe even a good sequel. Apparently not! The movie studios messed up that franchise not once ... not twice ... but three times (once with Dolph Lundgren, then Thomas Jane and most recently with some guy called Ray Stevenson).
