It's been one of the biggest success stories in recent Hollywood memory: former '80s heartthrob Mickey Rourke, beaten down and weathered and having nearly driven himself out of Hollywood, returning under the direction of "Fountain" director Darren Aronofsky to an undisputedly illustrious comeback.

Mickey Rourke's inspirational performance in "The Wrestler" has garnered him near-universal acclaim, and a Golden Globes nomination -- and win -- for Best Actor. But even if he hadn't taken home a statue, just the mere nod from the Hollywood community would've been enough of to signal that Mickey Rourke has returned. Below, listen to Aronofsky's remarks on his star, and then click here to check out all of our red carpet interviews from the 2009 Golden Globes.

The Danny Boyle-helmed "Slumdog Millionaire" may have officially left its one-time underdog status behind, as the Indian romance drama took home awards for Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Original Score at the 2009 Golden Globes.

The film had ridden a wave of critical acclaim, and the wins now help cement it as an incoming Oscar heavyweight. Among those celebrating is noted composer A.R. Rahman, whose original work and collaboration with artist M.I.A. provided "Slumdog" with its venerable score. We caught up with Rahman recently and spoke to the musician about the film, his music and what its successes mean for the people of India. Watch the resulting chat below, and then click here for our full interview with A.R. Rahman.

Aaron EckhartFROM SPLASHPAGE: In the past, Aaron Eckhart has had no problems stating matter-of-factly that Two-Face was done for, telling SuperHeroHype back in September that his character was as "dead as a doornail." Well...maybe not that dead.

When MTV News caught up with "The Dark Knight" star on the Golden Globes red carpet, he was considerably less convinced of his character's demise, and of the possibility that he could reprise his role as Harvey Dent/Two-Face in a sequel to the record-breaking film.

(C) Golden Globe Awards 2009 - MMIX Hollywood Foreign Press AssociationPop the bubbly and prepare to watch HBO win every dang "miniseries" category because The Golden Globes are back! After last year's SAG-strike-press-conference-debacle, the glitz and glamour (and drunken celebrities) are set to honor the best in movies and television, and I cannot wait to dissect every awkward TelePrompTer read, every self-involved acceptance speech and every hilarious audience cutaway reaction shot. Oh, and I guess I'll talk about who wins, too.

Who will be this year's Liz Taylor? Will "Slumdog Millionaire" top Brad Pitt as a pepaw? What on earth is Mickey Rourke going to wear? (Heck, what on earth is Mickey Rourke going to do??) All these questions and more will be answered as we watch tonight's Golden Globes together. Let's do this thing!

7:58 pm: This is my first time watching an awards show in HD. This is going to be enlightening!

7:59 pm: Okay, I just switched over from E! and Tiki Barber is co-hosting the NBC Golden Globes red carpet special? I wonder if that means Billy Bush will one day report from the sidelines of the Super Bowl.

6:01 p.m.: The first man to hit the carpet is ... Ricky Gervais!! Yay! He's look fab in a simple Calvin Klein suit and tie. Very classy!

6:05: Jonathan Rhys Meyers, also in a black suit and tie. There must be some United Kingdom dress code that these guys are sticking to. JRM's jacket looks a little big for him though. Read More...
