Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the lives of Manhattan's elite. Fortunately for you, I have the connections in Hollywood to bring you the same inside scoop from the West Coast during the most interesting of times. It's award season, which means parties and after-parties, which in turn brings fashion hits and misses to a whole new level. Careful girls, even the walls have eyes when I'm in town.
The Golden Globes brings with it many post-show activities, but the night's place to be -- the InStyle/Warner Bros. party -- is absolutely worth an appearance. Only Hollywood's most fashionable will make the magazine, but everyone puts their best foot forward.
And one who usually does, did not disappoint tonight. Kate Beckinsale looked breathtaking in her white Globes gown, which then doubled as her party dress. Although I hear it can't be easy to walk around with your knees all but tied together, but I'm sure a red carpet vet like K can handle the pressure.
It seems that the clients we learned so much about from last season's The Rachel Zoe Project all had the same social schedule. Both Debra Messing and Joy Brant posed for photos on the silver carpet. Messing wore her Globes gown, while Joy was much more dressed down in a long gray and gold sweater. Careful, J, even a skinny minnie like yourself can look a little larger than life in the wrong outfit.
Blake Lively, a West Coaster who moved East for a certain very important gig, made it to the left coast in time to present at the big show and then party with the pretty people in a gorgeous blue gown. Uh oh, S, that doesn't look like a Waldorf original, or even one of Little J's designs. I guess loyalty isn't everything anymore.
… And who am I? That's one secret I'll never tell. You know you love me.
XOXO,
Gossip Girl
P.S. Competition's fierce in Hollywood, but Kristen Bell sure can bring it -- did you her rock the orange at the carpet? There might be a new Queen B in town … B for Bell, that is.
