Hey Twilighters! I just want to say that I love us! We are so passionate and invested in our favorite Twilight characters that it's no wonder we were named MTV News' 2008 Woman of the Year! Why am I glowing with pride at this particular moment?
Well… on Wednesday, I wrote a blog about the rumor that Vanessa Hudgens and Brenda Song were in contention for the role of Leah Clearwater. I asked you guys if you thought either Disney Channel starlet would make a good fit for the role. And boy oh boy did you guys tell me what you thought!
Most of you suggested Q’Orianka Kilcher for the part. Some said Megan Fox, Camilla Belle or Kristin Kreuk (my pick by the way!) wouldn’t be bad choices either. The one thing that a lot of you did agree on is who you don’t want for the role: Vanessa or Brenda!
The comments that interested me the most revolved around my good old co-worker Vanessa White Wolf. Zenobiya said that she didn’t know who Vanessa White Wolf was, but she might be “good” for the role. Some of you agreed, while darkangel_140 thought Vanessa W. would be a better Emily because “she looks too nice.”
We at MTV News like to have some fun, so we held a little casting session with our pick for Leah Clearwater. Leah doesn’t talk much in New Moon so the “casting director “ (cough… cough… Me) decided to have our young hopeful recite some lines from Eclipse. Check this out!
