Mila Kunis is becoming quite the action heroine. This fall, she played a pretty kickass assassin in "Max Payne," and now she's going post-apocalyptic. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she's joining Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman in Albert and Allen Hughes' sci-fi thriller "The Book of Eli."
The story centers on a lone hero named Eli (played by Washington), who must battle his way across a desolate American wasteland, protecting a sacred book that holds the key to saving the future of humanity. Kunis will play a woman named Solara, who is hired to betray Eli. She's slowly won over, and ultimately joins him in his quest. This means she'll get to take on Gary Oldman, who's determined to steal Eli's book for himself.
Kunis' career has been really taking off lately, and she's finally rivaling her "That 70s Show" costars by landing big parts like "Book of Eli."
And I'm very glad to see she isn't being stuck in girly, comedic roles. Movies need a few more tough chicks -- and considering how she reportedly beat up Mark Wahlberg on the "Max Payne" set, Oldman and Washington better look out!
Will "Book of Eli" be the post-apocalyptic action ride that's been missing in Hollywood for a while? Let us know your thoughts.
