After starring in the first two films in the "Fast and the Furious" franchise, Paul Walker ultimately decided not to appear in Part III. So why in heaven's name, then, would he want to come back for Part IV?
"A lot of money," Walker laughed on the set of his new film "Bone Deep."
Here's the punchline: He's actually only half kidding.
"I don't know," Walker added. "I thought it would be fun to go back and do it one more time to close it out."
Whatever the reason Walker chose to return is almost irrelevant, of course, since his presence is sure to excite fans of the series regardless. But it's not who's in the film that fans will be talking about, thinks Walker, it's who's not.
"When I did the second one everyone said 'What's up with Vin [Diesel]? Why didn't he come back for the second one?' And then I didn't do the third one everyone was 'Why didn't you do the third one?'" Walker said. "But now everyone is going to be 'Where's Tyrese [Gibson]?' I fought for that, to have him on board and it just didn't work out."
Excited for "Fast and Furious," the series' fourth big-screen installment? Looking forward to more Walker & Diesel action? Sound off on your thoughts below.
