We tried to get Emmy Rossum's birthday started right this morning here at the MTV News offices. It's not every day that a lovely young star like Emmy turns 22 after all. Unfortunately our good faith gesture of a surprise cupcake at 10 in the morning was met with the revelation that she's allergic to wheat. But major points to Emmy for feasting on all the frosting. Truly, she's a woman after our own hearts. Of course even more important than her birthday is the fact that Emmy is the new spokesperson for PiNKiTUDE, an initiative by the Susan B. Komen For The Cure organization, that seeks to educate young women about breast cancer. Emmy will be racing for the cure this weekend here in NYC.
