On this Twilight Tuesday, I will become the latest MTV Newser to admit that I am absolutely, 100 percent, enthusiastically hooked on the “Twilight” series. A few months ago, I realized that I kept hearing the word “Twilight” around the office. So, I decided to find out where all of this buzz was coming from.
I had no idea what I was in for.
Cut to two weeks ago … I am late for meeting because I’m sitting in the corner of the newsroom, reading the last few pages of “Twilight,” the first (and hopefully most addictive, because otherwise I’m going to be late for a lot of meetings) installment in Stephanie Meyer’s series. Cut to one week ago … I’m even more hooked as I continue to read the rest of the books in the series.
Am I the only one who craves the kind of relationship had by Edward Cullen and Bella Swan? I mean, one is a vampire, the other is human, and they, teenagers (sort of), are confronted with death, immortality, and the chance that one might at any moment end the other’s life. Still, the unending, undying, unbeatable, and literally life-or-death romance between the two characters is one that I can’t help but want to further understand, and experience.
Meyer’s ability to mesh and mold our human ideals of good and evil never ceases to amaze me. Further, the complexity of Edward Cullen’s character surprises me again and again, as I am constantly reminded simultaneously of Edward’s ability to have compassion and good-will to a higher degree than most humans, and his inhumane, animalistic desire that becomes a constant battle for him. The humanization of the vampire is something that Stephanie Meyer has mastered, but she never fails to remind us that these are, as Edward names himself, “monsters.”
You can imagine my excitement when I found out that we are unveiling a scene from the “Twilight” film at Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards’ preshow. And not only that, but we get to hear the words of Stephanie Meyer herself, as she gives us an intro and a taste of what we can expect. Imagining Meyer’s words and imagery put onto film is something that both scares and excites me. I’ll be interviewing Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart during our preshow, so I’m definitely looking forward to hearing their take on the books and the movie as well. I can’t believe I’m meeting Edward and Bella (or, well, in a way). In any case, I feel confident as I finish reading the series that I am forever Team Edward, but sometimes actors and directors can change things ever so slightly, so I’m interested to see how Edward, Bella, and of course Jacob look on the big screen.
Sunday’s the big day, guys. Tune in to watch my big “Twilight” interview. But first, help me out: What questions should I ask Robert and Kristen on the red carpet?
The MTV Movie Awards will air live on MTV on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, with MTV News’ “Coming Attractions” preshow kicking the evening off at 7:30 p.m. ET! Meanwhile, stay tuned to the MTV Movies Blog and MovieAwards.MTV.com.

Do you all feel that reading Stephenie Meyers' novels helps or detracts from the characters you portray in the movie (hopefully movies)?
Also, for Rob and Kristen:
Do you feel daunted by the fictional shoes you have to fill? Considering the success of the novels alone, are you guys worried about delivering an excellent and accurate depiction of Edward and Bella?
Would you go on to compare Romeo and Juliet to Twilight? In your opinion, is it true love, or a case of really bad lust? Do you think that, books aside, the outcome of this relies purely on both of your chemistry and WHAT you make of the roles?
Kristen: Apart from "Twilight" what was your favorite film starring in?
Cam Gigandet: Like being a sadistic vampire?
What is your favorite thing about being Bella?
This is for Robert-
Do you realize how many girls will be going to see this movie, just because of you? (girls that have never even read "Twilight")
This is for both of them-
We, as T-Os (Twilight Originals), want people to see this movie and then want to read the book, do you think the movie will be able to capture new hearts and devotion the way the book did for us?
also,
We know the script and some scenes are not from the book, do those scenes take away the magic, or add to it?
As y'all can tell, I'm hoping for answers to these questions that'll ease my nerves. Do me justice!
Would Milton frown, cackle or admire 'Twilight'?
Be honest, you juicy brisket.
Ask if they're dating. Ask if they like working with each other and what it was like kissing each other. lol. Oooh, and the meadow scene.
anything that would get us a behindthescene look at the movie or their relationship! lol
+Kristen: The dance studio scene [when Pattinson and Gigandet fight] was the fear that had to be protrayed, acting or did your own true fear come into it?
+Both: Chemistry. How do get tourselves into scenes like that? what kind of preparation do you have to do?
+Also for both: How many insane twilighters have you encountered? And how did they react when they say you?
+Rob & Kristen: If someone came up to you [before you knew you were casted for the movie] and said 'Hi. You would be a perfect Edward Cullen/Bella Swan!' What would you have said?
+Kristen: Okay so Breaking Dawn is almost out [YES!!] do you think Bella is going to go for Edward or at the last minute run away to Jacob, or my personal favourite ditch both of them and end up with Mike?
-okay so thats my random questions. Good Job on all of your and your success!
Kristen Stewart: Have you ever thought about moving to a small town like Bella in the movie?
To both: Have you ever been in a relationship as intense and romantic as Bella and Edward's?
I guess I would like to know if they had any idea going into this project that it had the potential to be a turning point in their careers, and if they are ready for the level of fame they are about to experience?
Kirsten: who do u think bella should pick? Jacob or Edward?
To rob: How much pressure is it to play a character that is described as so god-like and perfect and pure that has captured the hearts of so many girls? Do you think you did the part justice?
To Kristen: What team are you on? Team Edward or Team Jacob? How would you like to see Breaking Dawn end?
Marry me?
