Some people are excited to see Benicio del Toro, while others are talking about the newest “Narnia” character. Personally, I’m more curious to see what Catherine Hardwicke and her “Twilight” team do with Taylor Lautner, an actor who could someday join Lon Chaney and Jason Bateman as the greatest werewolves of all time.
Our interview with Lautner just went live, so be sure to read up on his breakdown of Jacob Black, his new driving skills, and an eagerness to get half-naked. As any Twilighter would expect, the 16-year-old star is eager to film the proposed sequels that would greatly expand his role by putting him into some hairy situations.
“The coolest thing about being a werewolf in the second film, if that were to happen, is to be shirtless; that would be pretty fun,” he laughed, thinking about his Portland surroundings. “It would definitely be chilly.”
“[Jacob's angry werewolf side] is not like me in real life; I’m like Jacob’s Native American side,” he explained. “I’m very friendly, outgoing, energetic and easy to talk to. But playing the werewolf side, where he’s holding all this anger and stuff inside him, that’d be very different for me. I love to challenge myself as an actor.”
Although some Twilighters have voiced concerns that Lautner isn’t big enough to portray Jacob in the other books, the actor promises he’ll be hitting the gym as soon as “New Moon” gets the green light.
“In the first one, he’s just regular and lanky and not crazy,” a determined Lautner explained. “But I’m sure after this one, I will be working out, eating my protein, and staying away from the ice cream and the sugar.”
As for the look of the transformed werewolves, he said: “I’ve been curious about that; I’m sure I’ll hear about it before I leave, but I haven’t heard anything yet…I’m curious to see what that’s going to look like.”

I will NEVER turn my back on Jacob, because he is Bella's soulmate and best friend--her personal sunshine. He is who Bella would have been perfectly happy and content with if she had never met the Cullens. Of course, we all also adore Edward because he is as close to perfection as any girl could ever hope for.
What I think is unfortunate is the fact that Bella herself gave Jacob Black more credit and more of a chance than a lot of Twilighters have given him!
Stephenie (the AUTHOR) loves Jacob, and so does Bella, the heroine of the story! He's NOT a bad guy at all: he's sweet, caring, loving, protective, and HUMAN (in a manner of speaking).
*I would recommend to anyone who can't see Jacob's place in this story...read the saga through at least twice! I think the reason that so many people are anti-Jacob is because they are too busy focusing on the events and "what about Edward?" that they don't stop to see how vitally importand Jacob is to the story, as well as to Bella.
Still lovin' me some vampires though. Sorry Taylor - it'll take the whole pack of werewolves to compete with an family chock full of hot, sensitive, immortal males. Looking forward to you trying to change my mind in New Moon though!
So in the love department i am for Edward and Bella all the way, but i just can't help liking jacob aswell......i just can't hate him XP.
( ok, except from the time he kissed bella forcibly and against her will, at that time I had no problem hating him.....That was just wrong XP )

nice.. "CEDWARD" good cedric/edward mix. havnt heard that one b4. And TEAM EDWARD, NO DOUBT AT ALL! HOW CAN U EVEN CONSIDER jacob. Just flip to the chapter "Fire and Ice" in Eclipse. It's all there. Even though it's is the most horrid chapter in the whole thing (can u imagine: JACOB IN A SLEEPING BAG, HALF NAKED WITH BELLA?!?!?! EWWW) it's also one of my favourites because Edward gets to talk to jacob, and really show him that he's better for her and that he loves her. GO EDWARD CULLEN, can't wait till we finally get Bella Cullen!.

In Eclipse Jacob gets on our nerves a bit, constantly throwing his undying love into Bella's face. Although he did give a good balance in Eclipse. When Edward is being over protective and acting more like a up tight parent instead of a soul mate to Bella, Jacob and his motorcycle is welcomed with open arms!

I love Edward, and I love Jacob. But Edward is too serious, and extremely protective of Bella. Despite that being a good thing; he overprotects. I'm team Jacob because I just love the way he's a werewolf which should be very dangerous but he'll joke about it, and he has the best lines. Go Team Jacob!

Larry, thank you for the interview with Taylor. The more footage I see of him the more convinced I become that he is right for Jacob. Like everyone else I'm concerned about his size and the fact that he's going to have to play an absolute giant in the sequels. But hey he's young and he's due for one heck of a growth spurt right.
...Because I have commitment issues. : )
